I'm currently attempting to actually write lore for my clan and the first dragon on the to do list is my progen, Cinus (also my avatar).
Obviously the site lore says that mirrors travel in packs and don't stay in mixed lairs (or really have lairs at all) so how have you explained your mirror staying without a pack?
Personally I'm thinking of going with the fact that she has no memory before becoming the founder for my clan so she doesn't have the same desire to be in a pack as other mirrors and is satisfied by hunting for food and fighting beastclans.
I'd love to see what other people have come up with!

My current mirrors are part of a pack but here are some ideas/things I've used in the past;
- They have some injury/disability that prevents them from traveling with a pack.
- They roam around a large area and return to a particular clan for rest/breeding.
- They claim to they'll only stay temporarily, but always have an excuse to stay a bit longer.
- They were raised by non-mirrors and so adopted the more permanent living style of other breeds.
- They live within clan territory, but don't associate with the others, and are tolerated for whatever reason by the rest of the clan.

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
I used to explain my progen mirror not being in pack with her pack dying before she hatched and then living alone, never learning the proper mirror ways from other mirrors
I got rid of her later but yeh
My other mirrors who aren't in pack have varying reasons:
-One can't be part of one because they are cursed and know they would hurt/kill their packmates, thus keeping to themselves
-One is powerful magical being who currently has a form of mirror, but not the exact behavior of one
-And last was not born as mirror, changing her breed to better suit her war-crazy attitude

My progen, Wraith, was raised in a mixed-breed wind clan before breaking off to form her own clan in the Tangled Woods. As such, while she does have a pack instinct, she thinks of her clanmates as her pack, regardless of breed.
All the other mirrors in the clan were raised in a similar situation (most of them were born into Wraith's clan after all) and have similar views. They tend to form tight bonds with particular clanmates and enjoy hunting and fighting alongside their besties.

All of my mirrors have the exact same problem:
Nobodys quite sure if they are actually dragons or not, including the three mirrors in question. They look like dragons, but there are some subtleties.

Mirrors can make a pack of their own out of anything. Dogs? Sure. Mirrors? Sure. Other dragons? Sure! I understood the lore as Mirrors not mixing well with strangers rather than with other dragons in general.

I just see the dragon encyclopedia entries as historical documents. Sure, your ancestors may have formed mirror only packs, but it's dragon 2019 now, mirrors are living with whoever they want.

my one mirror is currently roaming around alone BECAUSE he lost his pack. his leaders went missing and he woke up in the middle of the starwood strand totally lost and confused, trying to figure out where they went, so...

My mirrors, and they are numerous, form a pack within my lair. they have a big underground cave where they sleep in a big pile kind of like a snake nest, and then they all come out like a flock of bats when they want to hunt. the res to the lair just refers to them as the mirror army, and accepts that they spend most of their time with each other.

My mirror progen was hatched from an abandoned egg and had no other dragons around for a long time.
