I just got into coli (my first team is at level 4/5/4) today, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? I'm using this guide, even though it's outdated

I'd check out your flight's personal sales forums to see if there's any Coli Services in there! I know several flights have rental services, so you can borrow a level 25 to help bring your dragons up several levels quickly. Good luck, and have fun getting lots of neat treasure!

Yeah, I normally use keyboard mode (except one time today it stopped working for a little bit so that was fun)
The guide I’m using says my team should all have an eliminate before the third zone so that’ll be fun trying to get three

Did you happen to pick up those eliminates when Galore was handing them out? If not, I can give you one of mine- I'm not using them anyways, so you'll get more use out of it ^-^

- yeah, like ObsidianMage said, having a level 25 to help speed up the process helps a lot (If you need one hmu and I might be able to help you out!)
- get comfy. You'll be here for a while.
- Listen to your body! Take periodic breaks and have snacks & drinks nearby. If your wrist gets tired, stop! I know someone who seriously injured themselves via coliseum grinding, and they can no longer do it at all.
as for the actual grinding...
- I don't recommend using a mouse if you're on a computer, use keyboard controls or a drawing tablet if you have one
- if you can use a touchscreen, use it! I, personally, coli grind on my phone (or with my drawing tablet) while doing everything else on my MacBook
Those are just suggestions and tips though, find what works for you! Good luck with the coli! <3

The game controller icon button brings up control schemes. You can pick keyboard or mouse there. The button is on the Coliseum page.

DatMoonGamer to use keyboard controls, click the button at the bottom of the coli screen that looks like a game controller and you'll get a pop-up to select either "mouse" or "keyboard". Click keyboard and save. Each of the options will then have a letter over it corresponding to which key you press, so it's pretty easy to see what you need to click for each action.
In regards to general tips, I trained my 3 dragon team up from scratch (following the linked guide above) without using a level 25 to help the process along, but I did get an eliminate for each dragon. It wasn't too bad as I took my time over the course of a week to get them leveled. I wouldn't do it again, but it's sort of fun to start in the training fields and work your way up from there. The different venues and loot options keep it from getting repetitive.
