what if the idea of gaolers was reversed
instead of cool genes and no apparel how about

they can wear apparel but have no genes?
the only gene they would have is basic but they have all the apparel options

thoughts?

I dont think it'll bother me as much, tbh. While I'd certainly be upset that I'll never get to see my favorite genes on them, they still have apparel and skins to give life to them. Besides, people have been creative with apparel umas nowadays that they could also make a skin that resembles genes, so it's not much of a problem imo.
