i’ve been struggling to keep myself interested in this game for the past few weeks now, even with a bunch of g1 projects sitting in my hibernal den. i was kinda hoping to be more motivated to play with recent updates and thundercrack coming up, but i havent been. i was even less motivated to play since blossom is so hard to get, not to mention the starsilks being sniped every time they show up [emoji=gaoler sad size=1] i dont know whether to push through until thundercrack or take a small break... has anyone else felt less interested in fr, or perhaps even more interested?

Yeah, life on FR has gotten pretty mundane for me sometimes. I've been able to pull through with the festivals, and my projects though. Sometimes I wonder what it'll be like for me when I've finished my current projects and am able to start and finish others quickly because of how progressed and rich Ill be. I don't think Ill ever truly leave the game though, hatching and gening dragons doesn't get boring for me

I've absolutely lost interest in fr before. I go through regular periods when I barely remember to feed my dragons, much less work towards my projects. I say if you wanna take a break, go ahead! Your dragons will still be here.

Sometimes I lose interest in FR for days at a time, and what I like to do is just feed my dragons and take the break! Don't feel obligated to stay on FR, you should take a break if your brain ever needs it.

I eventually find myself coming back here anyway, because I miss my pixels.

I've found that hiatuses can be healthy. When I get bored, I take a break until I get the urge to come back (usually when there's a festival or big update). Don't feel bad about walking away, especially if you aren't enjoying your time here.

I sporadically lose interest in everything, fr included. this last time I stopped playing for around a year, but now that I'm back I'm having a lot of fun. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking breaks at any time for any reason! if it's not fun, don't play!

@draaviinrays fully get where you're comin from, i used to go through phases where i was just like, eh. what do i do here? but i've got a laundry list of Impossible Projects and goals that i very very slowly crawl through and that keeps me at least moderately engaged at all times. even stupid goals help like my current one is: fill den with level 10 fodder. for literally no reason other than the lols of it.

and i find things like new items that are RIDICULOUS to acquire help give me new things to focus on? like blossom is mad hard to get right and i'm just over here like scribblin in my notebook all yes good here's another thing to add to my dumb list of Things To Do™ great i'll be at it for months thank you admin for the focus

but yes if you're feeling a bit meh take a break, go for it 100%. forcing it is the worst thing you can do. don't push until you hate even looking at the website just step back and breathe. i'm sure smth will eventually bring you back and hold your attention and if it doesn't? well that's fine too.

For 3-4 weeks my FR routine will look like this: feed dragons if <80%, check front page for updates, leave.

Then something catches my eye, and I'll be active for a week or so. Then fade back into hibernation.

Don't force yourself! You'll just burn out even worse.

Honestly there's no reason to not take a break. Flight rising is a game, first and foremost it's a recreational activity. Should it ever become a job or a chore, should it become something you're only doing because you feel like you have to I think you owe it to yourself to take a break.
I've gone on months long break before, I'll just lose interest sometimes and then I'll forget about FR for a while. I don't regret those breaks, I do wish I would remember to pop in for the festivals and grab the apparel/familiars but y'know. I don't wish it enough to actually take any action to set a reminder.
