Out of curiosity, I kind of wanna see what most people do when they buy a dragon that has already been named. Do you normally change the name?
I almost always keep their names unless I really don't like them or I already had a different name in mind. Or if they're a descriptive name like "FacetEyes" or "CoolID." I name my dragons before selling them, and I see that a lot of people keep those dragons names.

I keep the names if I dont recognize them from the random name generator. I tend to run a Google search on names I think might be from something so if I'm not familiar with that property I can change it, but otherwise if it's a decent name I'll just leave it.

Depends. If the name is name-like or an actual name, such as Shaman or Nyx, then I don't bother renaming it. But if it is something descriptive like 'GenOne' then I rename it.

Rename if/when I come up with something. Sometimes this takes years.
My rl cat went through that.. rescue I got him from named their animals after the newspaper headlines at the time.. so my cat's name is Scooter. I was going to change it. It's been 12 years lol

Sometimes I keep them, sometimes I don't! If I have a name in mind already, I'll change their names.
I'll let the name sit for a while until I find a new name. If I can't think of a name after some time however, I'm just going to keep that old name. Sometimes I look up on their name origins and am fascinated how it came to be, so much so I want to keep their names that way!

I don't bother changing it unless I come up with something worthy of going through the effort to change it. I'd deliberately have a lair full of Unnamed if coli let me.

Sometimes. It's rare i'll rename them, actually. If the name isn't something like the name 'GenOne', then I just tend to leave it. For a good while I had a Permababy named Goldenrod, I never bothered to change the name even though it didn't exactly fit her.

I like to buy my dragons unnamed that way I don't have to rename them. Otherwise, I'll change their names (unless I'm using them for a breeding project or something similar). I like the names of my perma's to be very unique and different and most pre-named don't fit that.
