The system didn't work quite right and they felt it wasn't up to the standard they set for themselves iirc
It's actually kinda nice to see how many dragons I have with that little icon :o

Oh, it's because the system was out dated : part of it was broken (coliseum achievements, the only fairground achievement...) because of the site evolving. The devs said in their update (you can find it in the announcement forums) that it wasn't fitting the site's quality requirement as they updated a lot of old parts of the site as the time went on. They want to redo it better c:
