Did you adopt a really cool dragon? Make a friend? Choose some killer progen colors? Get into the swing of coli-ing or exalting or G&G-ing early? Not exalt a special hatch?

Share it all here! Anything that you did as a newbie and in hindsight, are pretty happy about! You could even offer it as some advice to current newbies too.

Personally, I'm pretty glad that I didn't breed my progens, or any of my dragons willy-nilly for that matter! With my lore, any offspring would be canon, and I had no idea how much better hatchies would look with genes... Plus, it's just nice to have progens with tidy (empty) offspring lists.
My maybe-terrible advice would be to not breed your progens immediately... I know that's the point of them, but imo there's way better options out there, plus you could always gene them up. And you don't need to breed your progens to fill your lair! But, if you do breed them... Name their offspring something you like, especially if you plan on selling the hatchlings. It'll be better for future-you.

Get into Coli and level up my some of my own dragons from 1-25.

Paid nothing for an Eliminate in AH and rather that it dropped in Coli since I knew nothing about Culex method

well i kept my sole first progens' kid, but when the game says she has a 'rare eye type', even a newbie can work out it's not one to just throw away

but yeah i messed up on every other level in the worst possible ways

Yup, getting interested in Coli early as a newbie. Never had food problems and it's made exalting be my primary source of income right from the start.
