Arcane and Earth both are very good in terms of resistances to the casters.
You can make almost anything work so long as you prioritize, though.

Coincidentally, my original fodder trainer was an arcane, so I've never had any trouble with the Mire.
Mire is fun, but lots of folks prefer Ghostlight Ruins or Kelp Beds if you wanna train fodder, since Eliminate doesn't drop in Mire. But they've got more physical attackers that can be total butts.
Although that doesn't mean you won't get cool things in Mire. Since Eliminate has dropped in price anyway, it's not so much of a concern to worry about missing out on.

Congrats on reaching the Mire, my absolute favourite venue for levelling fodder (or fosters as I prefer to think of them). I've sent well over 12 thousand skywards over the years with the help of my Nature and Plague level 25s.
