I don't really see it as a problem? If you just want to hatch eggs to see what comes out, you can do that; the hatchlings can always be sold off or exalted. No need to keep 'em, whatever they are.

I like G1s, but I don’t really like hatching eggs bc I know there’s only a tiny chance the dragon inside of it is worth more than the egg itself. I’d love to get a special hatch someday but I when I sell most of my eggs, I probably won’t.

Like the progens already count as a Gen 1 and I am that person that spoils their starters so to me the Gen 1 appeal is only in dealing with colors I would not normally scry for.

Aside from g1 elemental reps, I don’t see any other reason to hatch.

I wish there was a "egg hatching" simulation game just for fun, similar to a scrying workshop where you can save your hatches but they're not real
Because I just love the mystery of hatching eggs but do not want to spend so much and get nothing in return.
