ok did shuffle in mahjong got worse after update.
sometimes it is good, but very offten, I make one move, and I need to shuffle. and again...
I don't care about points. but it is just annoying to play like that

I prefferably play turtle, and before update i didn't noticed it needed much shuffles? I didn't played it much when it came out, but first few I played after update were... baaad. and they still are. I was "hmmm ok maybe after more play---- naaa pinecone, shuffle is bad, board is just done badly"

I think it’s still 100% RNG. There are strategies to use to cut down on shuffling but I don’t know enough about them to recommend anything. I try to eliminate tiles in a way that I have as many active tiles as possible on the board at once, and sometimes I don’t need to shuffle at all.

I did notice that too sometimes I get a shuffle with no moves (Like I have to stacks of 2 and when it shuffles both of them are still different.) Weird...

just played two rounds and like, i think it's all based on how quickly you get your tallest stacks down. Like, my first game I only needed one shuffle because I got the middle tile away quickly, but was still stuck because it didn't happen quickly enough. The second game I played, I didn't get the middle tile until my third shuffle, and even then I needed another shuffle because of how tall those stacks were and how few other tiles were scattered around.

I usually play butterfly, and I hardly ever need to shuffle

[/quote] it all goes well until very few tiles are left - like 15 pairs or less. there it starts SHUFFLE, SHUFFLEEeeee I'm no master in mahjong, but I ain't bad neither....

start from the highest stacks and/or the outer edges and work your way down/in. as for the shuffle, yeah ikr, it's luck but usually if you're down to 2 pairs it'll correct itself in one shot

yupp, I do exactly that. that way of solving is probably why I like turtle the most haha

I've only noticed that the Wind Rune needs a lot of shuffling towards the end. I usually play Butterfly and rarely have to shuffle, if ever. I think it depends on the board and RNG. Sometimes, the tiles stack unfortunately. It is annoying, though. It ruins one's flow, doesn't it? [emoji=spiral laughing size=2]

lol turtle is not actually my favorite because the outer edges on either side and the topmost tile in the middle are the hardest to clear sometimes

YUPP, EXACTLY same happens haha. from what I remember from butterfly, I think I had the same :o
but that last. yes. I just wanna play it all smoothly rng please

oo hecc haha. I have fun time with that but then middle just. just goes wrong with bad RNG haha
