Coli has never had sound.
Egg rot was a thing but it was removed shortly after opening so if you joined in 2014 you won't have experienced it :D

I'm almost 90% sure I did in fact experience it as I have a crippling fear of not incubating my eggs years after it was removed. I joined in April.

It's kind of funny because I also am not of the 2014 club but I remember Coli havoing a sound option before it was revamped. I'm pretty sure it never had sound, but for some reason, I remember there being an option for sound on/off. I must be mixing it up with a Fairgrounds game. Or maybe I was expecting it to have sound? Or both.

That is SO weird. I wonder if I was just warned about it in-game, because, as others are saying, it seemed like certain options were left there overtime. I wonder if the 'warning' for rot was still there or not because I definitely remember the site scaring me into coming back every day to make sure my eggs didn't die.

Older screenshots before the revamp show that there was not a volume button. Maybe you might be mixing it up with the volume on fairgrounds games? Tbh I forget those have sounds

I don’t ever coli so I can’t speak for the sound part but I don’t ever remember egg rot being a thing since I’ve been here, and I think I looked into it because I had never heard of it, and it was removed at the end of the first year?
