TOPIC | How do you keep your dragons fed?

Generally, each day I spend one turn in each foraging, and the rest is scavenging and digging. I tend to be low on food sometimes, but it's never much of a problem since I never convert all of my food in case Crim wants it, so I generally always have a little extra in my hoard. I also forage in the same place every time (Lightning), though I don't know if that makes a difference.

Since I have practically no Tundras, and my Guardians and Mirrors also accept seafood, I like to pretend that my meat and seafood stock is actually just one huge stock of meat so I can determine when I'm running out from there. My Faes...Well, I get plenty of insects at least.

I don't have huge issues with food for the most part (though farming the first two levels has gotten pretty boring) but does anyone have tips on a good way to find seafood? I've got seven Imps now, and while that makes me pretty happy for the most part, I can't find fish fast enough to feed them. Thankfully they default to meat when the seafood's gone, and I have plenty of that, but I thought I might as well try asking here.

When I first started the coliseum, I amassed huge piles of food that I intended to sell. I accidentally converted them into food points instead and I've been coasting on that little mistake ever since.

That's odd. I have more than 12 dragons, and have plenty of food for them. However, I did a lot of gathering for food at the beginning, when I only had a few dragons, so maybe I will use up my savings, and find myself in your situation eventually.

I do also level up my dragons in the coliseum, but not enough to do more than make a small contribution to my food income, even though I only spend a couple of gathering turns on food.

I have tons of dragons, and I've only ever had a "food crisis" (run out of meat for a day) once. The majority of my dragons eat Meat and Bugs, and a few eat Plants. So I use 2 gathering turns for meat, 1 for bugs, and 2 for Plants. I split the rest on Savenging and Digging. I get a butt load of bugs from the Coliseum, and I level my new dragons quite often and since the first few levels throw primarily bugs, and the occassional meat, I don't really run out very quickly. I remember when I first started I used 1 turn for each place while gathering. 1 meat, then go to fish (Even though I skip it now since I don't need it), 1 plants, etc, the repeat. I guess it's how I stayed steady when I started xD When I got really low one time I used all my turns for the day on food, but since then I've had no problems, and I've never had to buy food to keep them all fed.
I guess it really would be hard to get all the food I needed without the Coliseum, the only thing I can think of to suggest would be saving up your food for a while and not feeding your dragons until you had to (right before it gets below the 80% mark) OR saving up some cash (I suggest Shock Switch or Runestones. SS gives me plenty to go off of, and many say Runestones is a great way to make money too if it works for ya.) and buy some food from the AH.
Just stick to something that works for you, and you'll have a steady thing going for you ^^ Good luck~!
@Morpheus
I'd try level 9-10 (& I think level 11-12 does too? Can't recall exactly) in the Coliseum, it usually throws me some seafood ^^ And level 4-6 has the Bluefin Chargers who sometimes drop Snowflake Urchins when you defeat them c:
