Story:
So today a friend of mine was searching for their progens but didn't remember anything about them, and using by a few strategies and enlisting help from some others we found them within an hour. Later today, I saw another person searching for their progens, and using the same strategies I found it within 15 minutes, so I thought I'd create a guide to finding exalted progens! I will also help you find yours if you don't have the time, as I quite enjoy the search.
This is for when you don't know the names or ids of your progens, but would like to find them.
Strategy:
1. Write down your user id and date joined and anything you remember about your progens.
2. Try to recall what your first Flight was so you know the eye color. If you don't know, search through your old forum history and see if you can find clues. In fact, check your forum history for any shares of your progens.
3. Click on "View All" next to "Recent Clan Activity" on your userpage, and then go to the very last page. Write down the date that you got the "Getting Started" badge (this is the date you got your progens). If it is not the same day that you joined, then you will have to skip forward some lair ids until you find progens with that date in step 5.
4. Check to see if you had any starter breed hatchlings born 5 or more days after you got your progens. If any are candidates to be the children of your progens, write down the number, breeds, and genders.
5. Go to your dragon lair and then substitute a lair id number about 5-15 numbers before yours into the url. Find a pair of progens in one of those lairs and write down the id number of that dragon. Make sure it was born on the same day your progens were.
6. Start searching through ids! Do this by using the url flightrising.com/main.php?dragon= and put the id of the dragon from step 5 there. After that, go forward id by id by changing the digits in the url.
What you are looking for:
Two exalted gen one dragons with consecutive id numbers (or, rarely, one id apart)
Their eyes will match your first flight.
They will be exalted to your current flight.
If you found possible hatchlings of theirs in step 4, they will have the same hatchlings.
Check that the hatchlings were born on the right date by checking id numbers near those of the hatchlings for non-exalted dragons with birthdays. Also check that they are the right breed and gender.
