I love getting new suggestions for things to watch, listen to, and especially, read. I'd love some of your book suggestions! I really love fantasy, action, bits of comedy, science fiction, and horror. I'm not really a huge romance fan, but if there's romance in it, that's fine. (But no love triangles. I can't do those anymore.) If there's also themes with LGBT and/or lots of diverse characters, just give them to me and let me squeal. (Also, if it's manga, a comic, or a web comic, that's cool too.)

I suggest Percy Jackson[series]. Includes action, comedy, mythology, and some couples[which I don't pay attention to except Percico].
The Rain Wild Chronicles by Robin Hobb, consisting of The Dragon Keeper, Dragon Haven, City of Dragons, and Blood of Dragons. My current favorite series, and since you asked about LGBT themes, there's some gay romance in there.

@IgnoredGal
I always meant to check out Percy Jackson, but I really should try to.
@Frostbreath
Sounds like my kind of series :)

In addition, you might want to read the Liveship Traders trilogy by the same author - it's set in the same world, and the events of Rain Wild Chronicles are heavily influenced by what happened in that series.

I highly recommend the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix. They're my absolute favorite books. Actually I recommend any of Nix's books, they're all pretty good.
Nevermore by Kelly Creagh!
It's my favorite book because it is so, so well written. and funny. and about Poe! and it has some unlikely romance and gorgeous imagery and has adventure and horror in it too! (it's part Poe, that's a given XD)
It also has a sequel, Enshadowed, and a 3rd coming out sometime this year (hopefully).

@Katinar
Researching Nix's books, I fell in love...
@GryphonShadow
Nevermore seems pretty interesting but it sounds familiar, the title not the concept.

@Frostbreath @BlackChimera I was going to suggest Robin Hobb as well! I just finished re-reading the Farseer trilogy (which is the very first one), and had almost forgotten how good it is. I do prefer the Liveship Traders (that's as far as I've got so far though), I just like doing things in order!
Another suggestion if you don't mind a bit of utterly soul-destroying heartbreak and trauma, is Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. Dark, beautifully written urban fantasy with some of the greatest unconventional characters ever - including a really lovely relationship between a human and a beetle-lady ^^
