Is anyone here a fan of webcomics like Prequel, Ava's Demon, homestuck, Blindsprings, Hemlock?
I would love some recommendations as some of them are slow to update. Or you could tell me about what like in a webcomic.

@Blueyay
I would recommend reading Paranatural, Awaken, Demon Street and Brainchild. The first three update on a pretty often, but despite having a irregular updating schedule sometimes, Brainchild is definitely worth it if you can get past the first few pages of the comic.

I'd recommend Stand Still Stay Silent it updates everyday except Saturdays and Sundays and the art/world building is fantastic. Plume is also amazing as is String Theory. I'd also recommend Sfeer Theory and Fox Sister but they're both on indefinite hiatus until stated otherwise. But they're rather fantastic art wise and storywise as well.

finished

Icarus - Kolya finds a boy in the forest and it kinda turns out he's not human. super cute and interesting about two guys and their frendship and idk just read it ok

Pretty Mouth - "Evan is not a monster, he just has a few extra mouths. After what was supposed to be a one night stand with Rizo, a real monster, Evan finds things difficult to break off. Rizo just might be able to undo Evan’s curse.
With a monster in the woods, witches in the shadows, and laughing mouth without a body, Evan needs to decide if it’s even worth putting aside prejudice
"

ongoing

Prague Race - three young adults and a cat ends up in another world and have to deal with magic! and death! and friendship! the art is gr8, the story is g8, everything is gr8

namesake "Namesake is the story of Emma Crewe, a woman who discovers she can visit other worlds. She finds out that these are places she already knows – fantasy and fairy lands made famous through the spoken word, literature and cinema. Her power as a Namesake forces her to act as a protagonist in these familiar stories as she figures out how to get home.
But as she travels, she discovers that those controlling her story have their own selfish goals in mind – and her fate is the key to everyone’s happy ending
"

the boy who fell - "revolves around an innocent, softhearted and almost-spineless boy named Ren who suddenly finds himself in Hell after accidentally falling off a school rooftop. He is then forced to partake in a tournament full of powerful and vicious beings in order to attain his only way of going home: an all-powerful wish from the ruler of Hell himself"

Clockwork - about a boy named Cog who lives in a kingdom, is best friends with the prince (of one kingdom), happily unintrested in politics. and Before he knows he's involved with a big paranormal thingy in that other kingdom. woah. it's really good, even if my description is a bit... not good

monster pulse
- some kids finds part of themselves turned into monsters (like, someoe's heart, some girls blood, a dude's face...) (they're nice monsters though). and they have to fight an evil organisation and stuff. it's very cute

hotblood! - centaurs in the old west. and also about money and, maybe, love (the art is wonderful)

o human star - "Alastair Sterling was the inventor who sparked the robot revolution. And because of his sudden death, he didn’t see any of it.
That is, until he wakes up 16 years later in a robot body that matches his old one exactly. Until he steps outside and finds a world utterly unlike the one he left behind – a world where robots live alongside their human neighbors and coexist in their cities
"
and he have to find out who brought him back and stuff. v nice

witchy - about a Nyneve, a witch who lives in a world where magic power is determined by your hair length. Nyneve is kinda not good with magic, and also have extremely long hair

the end - two aliens crash a scifi con, accidentally kidnaps some humans and everyone gets involved in space politics and war and whatnot. intereting colours, beautiful art, nice story, cool characters... it got it all

soul to call - "The earth has never been the same since the Fall. Two thirds of the human population are dead, otherworldly abominations wander the ruins, and the occult runs rampant.
In hopes of salvaging the only scrap of family remaining in her life, aloof courier Avril seeks an Anathema, a blasphemous creature rumored to have the abilities that she needs.
"

saint for rent - "Saint runs an inn for Time Travelers, which leaves him little time to write his trashy romance novels.
Always a pit stop in the crisscrossing lives of his out-of-date friends and family, Saint wonders where his place is in a world that's quickly passing him by. Unfortunately, he also seems to attract
the more… supernatural “guests,” too."

two keys - "In a city split between humans and occult, Colin Aston just wants to run his diner and make bad coffee. A peaceful life isn't on the menu though, as a mysterious blonde shows up with a job only Colin is capable of performing. If he takes it, Colin will have to face sorcerers, politicians, and little old ladies... not to mention a secret that destroyed nearly half the city and hits a little too close to home"

all night - "All Night takes place in a world that has come to a halt. Day and night appear permanently fixed and the seasons never change. Whatever has happened to this world has not ended humanity, however, and on the day side of the planet life continues on. But things from the darkened half of the world have been slowly creeping further into the light, and very few know how to stop it…"

Prequel yesssss.

Gunnerkrigg Court is excellent, and updates extremely regularly (every monday, wednesday and friday) - the story is great although long, it's been going for a long time so the improvement in art from the first few pages to the present day is really cool to watch.

I really liked Hanna Is Not a Boy's Name...unfortunately, it was discontinued, but a fair bit of it is still available for reading.

I also started Cucumber Quest and Ava's Demon (both have sick art!).

Please go read devil's candy bc the art is gorgeous and the story (do far) is adorable. Also, great character designs like woah.

You should also read maggot boy bc zombies man. sarcastic a-holes, a serial killer, and an amnesiac; all zombies of course. the first few pages could be drawn better, and the first style change is very obvious, but everything gets regular after the first chapter.
