Apparently Solgaleo's name is a reference to Galileo, who validated Copernicus' heliocentric theory of the universe...the theory of the solar system's planets revolving around the sun and all! I think that's pretty cool.
Meanwhile, "Moon Wing" translates to Luna Ala in Hawaiian, possibly providing the origin of Lunaala's name.

i love them both a lot!! lunaala is especially gorgeous. all the pokemon that have been revealed so far have really great designs imo, i can't wait to see more. :3

I'm really conflicted. I love both and bats are one of my favorite animals, but that lion legendary looks amazing. I might actually buy both versions for the first time, they're that good. For now though I'm definitely on team moon. Gotta love those bats.

I feel like Lunaala is based off a fruit bat and maybe a dreamcatcher, and a constellation.

I love Lunaala because i LOVE bats and also its purple space-like look...also its body almost looks somewhat skeletal and I ADORE skeletal designs...
but my Zodiac sign is Leo, represented by lions and the sun...and I'm a sucker for astrology thus am a sucker for sun lions....ACK
I may buy both too, even If I end up only doing a complete playthrough of one ;v;

They don't look like they belong in the Pokemon universe.
I haven't liked most legendaries since like gen 3 though.

Lunaala is GORGEOUS~! But Solgaleo is not without its charms. As for now, I'm getting Moon version solely for Lunaala- at least until new info is released, that is.

I'm looking at Lunaala more, and the design is growing on me. I'm really conflicted now, this isn't as easy as choosing Kyogre and Xerneas over Groudon and Yveltal.
