Time traveling to visit Woodstock or some other well known event in history despite the risk of meeting your future parents and creating a paradox.
Time traveling to escape all of your commitments and avoid having to keep promises you made to loved ones because you don't want to face the consequences.

I, personally, would go back in time to keep myself from leaving my phone in a hotel on the other side of the Atlantic. That happened this summer, I'm still trying to get it back.
