TOPIC | Any Ginga Fans?

Ginga Denestsu Weed and Narobogashi Gin seem to be one of the most obscure animes, and very diffcult to find anyone whose heard of it. I'm just curious to know, are any loyal Ginga fans lurking around here?
I mean... There must be someone who must share my obsession for this anime.

Hello. o/ Finland is actually very full of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin fans, it's been a huge hit here since I was a child. I heard about it from my friends in early teens and I'm 28 now and still loving it. So if you want to find fellow fans, look up Finnish people!

We've got all kinds of GNG comics, dvd boxes, all sorts of things in our stores. Online stores might have more merch too, such as plushes, which is nice. ^^ We have a lot of people making plushes of their own about the doggies, dA is full of them, lots of artsy people if you're interested in meeting any of them.

I also like how Finland's GNG excitement has been recognized in even Japan! Yoshihiro Takahashi has visited here at least twice I recall. I was at the con which he was attending the first time. :3 Some Finnish peeps had made a musical of GNG, it was lovely. And I'm very happy to have Takahashi's signature too, it feels like a rare treat, haha.

@Kich
Wow! That's great! It's so disappointing that where I live it's so unknown. I did get the Offical Finnish Ginga plush however! I hope eventually the word will spread to where I live. Honestly, nobody knows anything about the great anime.
What's even more annoying is that everyone is removing the English subs off of the sites I used to watch GDW and GNG!
Maybe I'll go to Finland one day, I have heard of Ginga in Finland before, but I never knew it was this big! I heard even Japan has lost interest in Ginga.
So I'll mark that on a place to visit and to interact with people who have been and lived there!

Yep, long time Ginga fan here. I stumbled upon it years ago after I had finished watching Wolf's Rain on Youtube, and was curious about the bright blue dog on the thumbnail. I watched the first episode and decided to then watch the rest of it even though I had originally laughed at the opening because the art style was so much more different to Wolf's Rain. I watched Nagareboshi Gin soon after and enjoyed it greatly. I was a part of the AMV community at the time, and so would regularly use it in editor projects and stuff.

My favourite character by far is Cross.

(kicks down the door) what's up guys ginga has been my biggest artistic inspiration since i was ten years old

shame we can't have the manga officially translated in the usa. i'd like to own it but i don't rly see the point of owning dozens of comics in a language i can't read. i do have the densetsu riki manga, tho, and the gdw and gng character books.

i'd especially like to own nagareboshi gin. i love the early style of the manga. it's really sad how much the art has deteriorated imo but oh well. gng is my favorite and i don't care that much about what happens after the akakabuto arc ends.

@Nuthatch yeah, my first animation was a Ginga animation! It wasn't good.

@BeeFuzz ah, don't say that you dislike Mel to my friend. That's her favorite character!
Gin is my favorite character along with Smith-San.

@Inklizard
Yeah. The art style kinda dropped after Gin. But I mean after Gin's ark... everyone dies. I mean it's so hard to find a living character! Also, Gin is now blind! And all of Gin's friends have died from the orignal series due to age, or bears. It's super disappointing. So I'll keep to Gin's ark.

@Thesarcasticfox

I don't dislike him, he just isn't one of my favorites~ There are a few more out there that are "meh", but there are several that I HATE with a passion!

Heck yeah, I love the ginga series!
The manga art was fantastic but to be honest some of the art for the anime for Weed was pretty ridiculous haha

@BeeFuzz
I just dislike Koshiro. I mean I also wish we'd get to see more of the interesting characters... Who all died... Or were in for one episode and then vanished.

@Fizzywits
No doubt, it wasn't the best animation. But the first and last episode was pretty well done.
