TOPIC | The new 'It' movie
1 2
Ok I am gonna have to say, I really really liked the new It movie.

The effects (even if some were CGI) were very very cool, it had a very bitter sweet ending, and the humor and horror they mixed into the film was just perfect.

Has anyone else seen it as well? What is your opinion on it?

I wish I could say myself. I haven't seen either movies for It, but I really want to. I've heard some really good things about the movie!

I'll probably wait to watch it. I'm not a huge fan of clowns but I love horror, so I'm looking forward to giving it a watch.

I actually really want to see this. The "It" book sounds awesome, but the TV specials had pretty much nothing going for them except Tim Curry. (And it's not like Stephen King TV specials have to fail. Just look at Salem's Lot, for example...) Excited to see what the new movie is like!

Yes, I saw it last night and loved it. Most movies based on Stephen King books fail terribly, but this one was awesome. I have not read the book yet, but I hear it follows the source material fairly well. I agree that the humor and horror mix was perfect, and I found the characters enjoyable.

Now to hope for a part 2.

uh this movie is prolly in my top thREE SO UM

You?? Dont?? Get good horror movies anymore?? This had such a Stranger Things vibe to it (and Im not just saying that bc Finn/Mike was in it) Oh my god Im going to cry when chapter two comes out tho. Im currently reading the actual book and yowza it is nothing like the movie. Im not complaining though since I think it was a smart choice to tone down everything by a hundred bUT from what Ive been reading, its safe to say to read the book first before watching the movie (screw the miniseries that crap was garbage)

Man, Stephen King adaptations have been on a roll lately. 11/22/63, It, and Gerald's Game were all really, really solid. I feel like this movie + Stranger Things is going to kickstart a new 80s revival and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Now I'm wondering who they'll cast for Part 2...

I usually hate horror movies, but I loved this one!
I had to bring one of my stuffed animals because I'm such a wuss; it definitely helped x3

(Kinda sorta spoileryish below)

The projector and bathroom scene (after Beverly attacked her dad) almost ended my life

I grew up on the 90's miniseries of IT, and was so pumped to see the 2017 version! Have to say I really liked it! Already seen it twice lol, such great visuals
