There's that one game we played in our childhood that made us into the gamers that we are today. Well, one or two, yes? Share yours, and how it transformed you into what you are now! :>

For me it was Final Fantasy VII and Shadow Hearts.

Final Fantasy made me love the battle system, and the thought that went into playing a good RPG. And it got me accustomed to how long a game could take. (600+ hours for a perfect game. Yaasss) And what level grinding was. And it's really just THE game to get anyone, at least when I was little, into gaming. It is just plain grand.
But Shadow Hearts, it has a whole new battle system. One that's unlike any other's that I'll ever play again. (It's hitting key points on a disc as an arm sweeps around it) And it taught good button mashing skills. It taught me how to think quickly, and it's just a great story for an all around awesome game for the PS2.

For mobile gaming, that was Pokemon Red, I didn't had my own Gameboy back then and I remember my cousin gave me his old big grey gameboy, because he already had a newer color model.
For PC gaming, especially Online RPG, that was Everquest, year 1999. It was 1999 and I loved it. My Char was a Woodelf Bard, I still have friendships that started with this game.

I have no clue, I used to play a lot of edutainment games on the old IBM and Mac PC's at my primary school growing up. The only ones I remember the names of are Math Blaster, Freddie fish and the missing kelp seeds, and The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. I think there were times where I'd watch other kids play Nanosaur and Nanosaur II Hatching, those were awesome but I was still a bit to young to know how to play a proper PC game then haha.

I know I used to play a lot of PS2 games, and I still have the same old console for nearly 20 years and play on it every so often. All time favorites are Scaler and Crash Bandicoot: The wrath of Cortex.

I guess I've always played videogames, but the few that really set it in stone would have to be Crash Bandicoot 4 and scaler. Many years later Minecraft, followed by Spore got me into PC gaming when I was a young teen.

To name only one or two? Well, Little Fighter 2 & Pokémon took a huge part of my journey to gaming. I have been playing these games since I was a kid and still playing this very day. Pokémon Red to be exact, was the Pokémon game that kicked off the handheld console gaming. I do have a lot of more video games that took a part of my childhood as well, of course.

I've always played games since I was a kid, mostly Crash Bandicoot games such as The Wrath of Cortex or Nitro Kart, and a scant Spyro game here and there, but they were more of a thing I did with my family, not so much myself.

The game I'd say that really got me into gaming would be Pokémon White 2, which I picked up when I was 13. I didn't play Pokémon as a kid, so as soon as I started playing Pokémon, a new world of games opened up to me. I've made a lot of friends thanks to Pokémon! Plus, since I had to have a DS to play White 2, it introduced me to a whole bunch of games that I honestly can't imagine my life without.

I can't really remember. It was either Blinx, Sonic Heroes, Turok or Halo. My memory isn't so good.

I'll be honest and say Pokemon. D/P/Pt to be exact.
Although I have mostly 'abandoned' Pokemon and hype over Digimon, SMT, Fantasy Life, and other similar games. I found out in my gaming years that I really love a dose of really good story, or if the story cannot entice me it has to have a lot of content I can sink my teeth into.

I have always blindly followed behind you and stayed by your side, remember? May we embrace glory together, for back then we could not. Grant the proper end to those locked up here, and to yourself.
Pokémon Platinum. I remember getting that thing as a holiday gift after begging my parents to buy for me (I was pretty young back then), because after watching my older sister play it for so many hours, I was hooked. I'm not nearly as into Pokémon that I used to be, but I suppose that it was still the thing that got me into gaming in general.

The first game I remember playing (at maybe 5) was Mario 64, so games like that, Zelda, Banjo Kazooie etc was my childhood. I also had Pokemon Red on the gameboy color. What really made me a "gamer" though are the fond memories of me, my sibling and my cousins all sitting around the tv and playing on the 64. I've watched Ocarina of Time been completed more times than I can count haha.

Sonic! The first video game I played was one of those god-awful educational Sonic games. Possibly the only reason why I know how to do math...yeah...
