I remember fooling around in Google Translate just for kicks. Ahhh, good times. Also, stuff like this is probably why my French teacher doesn't allow my class to use it. :"DDDD
I probably need to get back into it when I have time, oops-

There was a translator that put the script for Final Fantasy IV in google translate to see what it would say. He made a series on youtube about it called 'Funky Fantasy IV' and let me tell you some of the **** google translate says is downright bizarre.
The point wasn't just to see how google translate handled the script; it was also about the importance of kanji and how that adds context to things. As the original FFIV came out when kanji wasn't put into games yet there's some issues with context. You get things like eagles being everywhere and stuff with fluoride and so on. It's very funny as well just because of the random words strung together-there were even a few times that google translate used rarely used words to describe something.
'Happy birthday! Are you an eagle?' was one of those questionable lines. Long story short if you want to see crazy stuff like that and laugh your *** off I recommend it.
That translator was also saying that google is supposed to be learning how to language translate with neural learning or something?
