...emotionally? (title wouldn't fit ;w; ) I dunno, I was thinking about Warriors Cats and then I remembered
FeatherTail
's death and I was wondering if anyone else sorta (metaphorically) felt their heart shatter when a certain character died in an anime/cartoon/tv show/book series/etc. etc.? Others of mine include:
Thace
from V:LD,
Narti
also from V:LD,
Angor Rot
from Trollhunters (I... I loved his character okay?!),
BlueStar
from Warriors Cats, Tons of characters from the Eragon books especially
Glaedr
's,
Shade
from the Silverwing books, Lots of characters from the TV show Continuum,
Duke
from Haven (though he exited the best),
Kestrel
from Wings of Fire (like a punch in the face man, though I haven't finished the series due to only having the first book),
Grovyle
from PMD S/D/T
(Yes I know with the Sky special episode he didn't really die, but I didn't play through that for a long while so I thought he was dead)
, Nuzlocke deaths of any kind,
Dobby
from Harry Potter,
Fred Weasley
from Harry Potter,
Remus Lupin
from Harry Potter,
Sirius Black
from Harry Potter, and lots lots more I'm probably just forgetting the names of at the moment. Edit: Because what? I made a post outside of giving dragons away/selling dragons I didn't need awhile back with my roommate when she was leaving FR that got more then a page of replies??? What??? And because I remembered more deaths. Pretty much everyone who ever died in Beyonders especially
Drake
his ending lines just... Killed me.
Nedwin
's entire ending chapter killed me as well. I haven't gotten over it.
Merlin's father
who's name I can't remember from season 2? 3? of Merlin made me go and browse the FR forums for awhile after. Also, yes, I cried when I was little watching Sonic X on TV during saturday mornings when I thought that
Shadow
died,
he came back later
, sure, but thinking he was dead for... A season? Half a season? Something like that just destroyed me as a kid.
Maria
from the same series as the one directly above also killed me as a kid and I firmly believe that
Shadow
DIDN'T DESERVE THAT.
And then Chris goes and reminds him of Maria and I just... I can't. I cried internally. A lot. And probably a little physically as well.
Oh. And don't forget when
Cosmo
died and left
Tails
with
a seed that started to sprout at the actual end of the series
and that destroyed me. Pretty sure they were my first ship too. And it died. I was basically set for life after that. Edit 2: Yes characters you've created and then killed off count too. And yes, I'm spoiler tagging every thing there because a friend of mine only recently read one of books I mentioned so someone somewhere probably doesn't know of that particular character's death. Anyway, share moments like this you've had? I recommend using spoiler tags, btw, just in case. Oh man where do I start there were some characters from the games I've played that made me cry SO much and in movies as well, I would mostly cry if a character I like dies and that would make me feel so sad...

I'm talking about The Walking Dead (Game), Lee and Kenny the characters I miss. I even cried from watching Coco until the end, god that was sad. I've never played The Last of Us (Because I don't have the console) but I did cry when the main character's daughter died at the beginning of the game.

I forgot what else but I did cry in some YouTube videos I watched too! Mostly animations!!~

In FMA:B I cried when Maes Hughes and Greed died. honestly, two of my favourite characters ;o;
Other than that, it seems that I was one of the only ones actually sad that Boromir in LotR died... I really liked him??

Oh, and how could I forget the most terrible death of all of them? Tadashi's death in Big Hero 6 literally made me sob like a baby, 10 minutes into the movie :'D

Stand Still. Stay Silent.
Oh man. Telltale Games's The Walking Dead shattered my soul. Luke's death ripped my soul apart. He didn't deserve it at all, poor guy.

There was also the movie Max, about the retired army dog. No, the dog didn't die (thank god or I'd have thrown my popcorn at the screen), but when the owner's father died and Max was whimpering and scraping at the coffin.... I cried into my popcorn.

if you're me, you always know something will happen: THE FAVORITES ALWAYS DIE™

(Eddsworld) first was [spoilers]Jon
. I should have expected it, honestly, considering he was bleeding from the heart after Tord's giant robot exploded But I didn't. Do much for hoping he'd make it 'cause I didn't watch the credits for the episode so I never noticed his ghost. I woke up crying at 1:30 AM over this one :'/

(Dragon Champion? I think that was the title) And next were two characters. Wistala and Djer. The first was honestly to be expected when the back of the book said the main character was the only survivor of his family but, AGAIN, i had hopes. Guess a hunter killed her and her father (she and her family and the main character were dragons). The latter... What was he? I think he was almost like a dwarf or an elf or something of the sort... Anywho, there were a few times I worried, but once him and Auron (again, this dragon, Auron, is the main character here) parted ways I said "yeah, he'll be fine."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SAID WHO
Auron saw him again... When Djer was dying. Oh my god, the way his burns and injuries were discribed.... Oh god, it was just horrific. WHY THIS??? He asked AuRon to put him out of his misery and so the dragon did his skull using his snout T____T

I'm not even going to get started on what happened in The Call Of The Wild. that was not okay especially BILLEE ;_____; but seriously. A good 90-95% of the characters die.

Lowkey still haven't got over the ending of Red Dead Redemption </3

And, I mean, every time a dog dies ever. It's just nOT OKAY. Don't hurt my soul. For that matter... every sad scene involving a dog is just painful. Every sad story involving a dog is painful. Doggos are pure love and happiness... kinda breaks me to see them sad. :'c

Edit: WAIT HECK I GOT ANOTHER ONE not even really an actual character lmao but I felt soo many emotions when I learned that after the main story in AC: Black Flag the Jackdaw sinks. Really anticlimatically. mY PRECIOUS SHIP.

I think the first one that really got me was Hollyleaf in Warriors… then it turned out that she didn’t really die… and then she died for real…

But the first one that made me cry was Shion in No. 6 although he was brought back soon after.

The saddest and most infuriating one I’ve seen was Yaha-kui zaShunina in Kado: The Right Answer. Explaining it would take a LOT of context and ranting; let’s just say it was extremely unfair and problematic.

Oh man, when the player character died in PMD Darkness I actually cried. It didn't help that the reaction of your partner was so damn touching, seeing them so genuinely heartbroken that their best friend has died is heartbreaking, even though yes you do get brought back to life.

Not to mention Stoic from HTTYD 2. I was not expecting it and it hurt a little.

Also, I know that Bambi's mum is the real infamous Disney death but honestly that one never bothered me too much. Nope, when I was a kid the one that really got to me was Mufasa in The Lion King. You see the body and everything and that's just not okay movie, it's not!

Kit and Jacques Snicket from ASOUE, anyone?
Or, ooh, Olivia Caliban in the original book series, who was hinted to have dependent personality disorder!
Ooh, but we can't forget Henry Elsner and Kennith Simmons from COMMUNICATIONS!
or how about Lance's self esteem in Voltron? haha watching goofballs break down is fun isn't it
But lets be real here, the saddest death has gotta be Beatrice Baudelaire's death.
WAIT WAIT WHAT ABOUT TADASHI HAHA
did i mention kennith simmons yet?

Oh, but can't you feel it?! The void, it's calling me- Calling all of us! It wants to eat our souls, so that we never ascend to the heavens, it wants to absorb us! It needs sustenance, so that it may expand and envelop this whole useless world! All that muck and grime, the ooze, it will fill every crevice of reality, and it will change the world into a paradise! All you have to do is live to see it!
And why aren't I scared? Because the void is the afterlife, and I am its Grim Reaper!
Odin and Hel from the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel freaking destroyed me, as well as Perry and Nick themselves. Basically every death in that series, tbh.

Caught between the mundanely awkward and the existentially impossible.
