has anyone else read this book??? holy heck I just finished reading it and I'm... What did I just read

speculation/spoilery here:
As far as I've been able to tie together, at the very end it shows that with the bike storyline, most of the people he met were actually at the hospital. But he's never allowed to leave, so it seems. So was that just part of his imagination? The only other thing I can tie together is that the hospital at the end is in fact the one that the tapes occured in, and that Brint/T was maybe one of the people working against his father, and I think Grey was actually against them the entire time?? I'm tired and confused

(and slightly unrelated but if anyone's read The curious incident of the dog in the night-time that's also one of my favorites)

oh my god i read that in middle school

i don't think i understood it, though; i should probably reread (my 8th grade brain was on a lot of bs and not a lot of literary analysis)

thanks for the reminder that it exists lol; i remember it being absolutely fascinating for reasons I couldn't exactly place at the time and I'd love to reread it when i actually have the mental tools to really understand it
