So excited for this! Have been waiting for this since the game started! Means I need to start pestering my coworkers for their friend codes! My best friend can finally have her shiny Dratini that I caught for her during community day!

Anyone else going to do the same?

Looks like it only works locally. Makes it kind of pointless imo.

I'm excited for it. My super small town surprisingly has a really active facebook group of about 20 or so people in it, so we'll all be able to become best friends in game. We raid together multiple times a week (sometimes multiple times a day, if we're not busy. lol)

I've been waiting for trading since the game started too. My mom started playing just with the intention of eventually trading me all of her Pokemon because she doesn't really "get it", so I guess now she can fulfill her dream. lol

It really depends on your phone model and carrier. Everyone I know who has phones through AT&T, Sprint, Verizon or any other major carrier like that have no problem playing at all. People who have phones through Metro tend to struggle a little bit (especially when the 4G runs out for the month.) And I have a friend who has a phone through whatever Walmart's carrier is and the game is pretty much completely unplayable on his phone.

As for buggy, there aren't really any major bugs I can think of off the top of my head. The only one I can think of is that every so often, a pokeball will get frozen on the catch screen and you have to restart your game. All the other bugs I know of are things you actively have to be trying to cause.

When is it actually coming out for play? I thought the announcement meant there was an update, and well, nope.

It's rolling out this week, according to the announcement. I think they stagger it, but it did say 'later this week' so probably over a few days.
