You know that moment when you fall in love with a game from say, a trailer? A review? Something of the sorts. You're hooked. Then, you go look to see a price or such. An then it hits you. It's on every platform, console or device you don't own. Recently, yesterday or the day before, I found a Spyro the Dragon M.A.P, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-cRlIbaeho) something in the description said about the Spyro Trilogy and about the Reignited version coming soon. I did a quick Google search. Lo and behold, it was ONLY for XBox and PS4. I only own a laptop, 2DS, Switch, a broken Wii and Wii U. I was wondering if anyone's had some similar experiences. It's happened to me far too many times to count. Also, for the reason of the name of the post is that badly designed games can be fun because they're so bad it's hilarious and beating a game is a short-lived bittersweet feeling because you just order another game. Whereas, if you REALLY badly wanted to play it, you'd have to get the platform you'd need to play it on and get the game itself which is waste a whole load of cash on a game. And it just STINGS.

Happened twice for both Detroit: Become Human and the new Spider-man game, both are on PS4, which I don't own.

I am still feeling the sting of not being able to play Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I love both Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem, but I don't own a Wii U. And as much as I want to play it (and a select few other game), I can't justify getting the console for only a small number of games.

I also had that for a while with core Pokemon games. I didn't own a DS or 3DS until each console had their second or so core series game available. I read every article about the newer gens and remakes, but didn't get to play them until much later. This will be the first time I'm ahead since my friend got me a Switch a couple of months ago.

i only have a busted wii, 3ds, and an oooolddd dsL, and i only recently got a ps2 and ps3 just so i could play persona games.

might get a switch soon tho, since i got a big school refund, or maybe a wii u bc i want to play windwaker and idk if it got ported to switch.

They'll probably release Spyro on the switch a year after the initial release, like they did with the Crash bandicoot remake so chances are you won't have to buy a new system just for one game or completely miss out on it.

As for me, I find it hard to find games I'm actually interested in these days. I've always been picky about games anyway and it sucks when they don't make very many games of your preferred genre on your chosen system. Please gimme more 3D platformers for PS4 if you want to get money out of me game devs..

@C4link716 most games I'm interested in are on PS4 as well. Annoying to say the least.

@Brenning The only reason I got a 2DS was for Pokémon. XD Also, I'm the same, except I got my 2DS for a few other games too. Like, Miitopia and Legend of Zelda games.

@Hollyshark I'd recommend a Switch, personally. But it's up to you. I think Nintendo are considering to make another Ocarina of Time remake on the Switch. Mostly for the graphics.

@Xela Your forum signature's beautiful! OoO Also, thanks for telling me. I thought they released the Crash Bandicoot at the same time. I didn't realise, I guess I'll just wait. I'm relatively pick myself, but give me a non-human character and mostly story driven RPG and you've gotten me hooked! XD

Yeah seriously, there aren't enough games featuring cute or cool animal/non-human creatures as the main character or nice, colourful, cartoony visuals. Most games focus way too much on gritty realism, first person perspective gameplay and shooting stuff...

Oh my God, this is the most attention I've gotten on a forum post, thanks a lot everyone! Pro Tip: Don't ask for anything cheap in a forum post, put FREE1!!!111 into the title and it'll get plenty of attention. XD

@Xela I personally, despise Fortnite 'cause it's too realistic. And it has human characters. UGH. I mean, the only shooter I like is Splatoon. I may be a post apocalyptic game, but at least it's colourful and has squid kids or kid squids whatever you think they are, instead of humans.

@Charias PS4 gets far too many good games. The PC needs more of 'em as well as the Switch. And I relate, I use PC most of the time too. I usually only get a new console when it has a good few games on it I want, generally five or more.
