TOPIC | Crystalpine Reaches are radioative?
Guys, in the Pink Chalcedony description says:
"Crystalpine Reaches, once granite mountains, are now entirely made of chalcedony after extreme arcane vortices warped their physical properties. Prolonged exposure to this radioactive silica can make non-arcane dragons very ill."

What...? That means that every place that has the arcane crystals is radioactive?? :0

@ChaosSama Ever read the story of the Arcanist's birth?

He was born in a nuclear meltdown. :D There's a reason he's a walking, talking disaster boy. It makes sense that his home would also be radioactive.

It takes Twelve Years for one Imperial pair to produce a Primal-eyed offspring of a specific sex. Goal-based breeding is dead.
@Ridara

Yesss, I love the lore <3

And yeah, our father kinda killed a whole civilization, but I love him xD

And yeah, it does makes sense. Still feels kinda morbid, cause every non-arcane dragon gets ill...

it makes you wonder how non-arcane dragons adapt and survive in this area of the arcane flight when joining multi-dragon lairs (let alone multi element lairs)

@edgepapi

Exactly. I mean, my lair is multi-elemental, so now I gotta think of a way of my non-arcane dragons not die xD

Well only the first tier lairs are in the crystalspine area. Maybe dragons can build up resistance, or Arcane dragons have a secret way to help combat the effects of the radiation, which they only give to dragons in the Arcane domain?

@Klawzor

I mean, even thought only the small lairs live in the Crystalpine, the Focal Point and the Observatory are surrounded by those huge crystals, so they'd be affected as well.
Idk how the arcane dragons would do. I imagine them just immune to fhe radiation (idk how???), or maybe even using it to build his own magic. Or that way as well. It's crazy lol

Depends on how much radiation they give off. Maybe you have to be up close for them to begin to be a hazard.

Well, knowing the little i know about radiation, even though they don't need to be necessarily extremely radioactive, distance isn't a problem in this case. The crystal are huge and there are a lot of them, and all circuling the Focal Point and the Observatory. Meaning the radiation kinda gets accumulated at the center, which are these two. Either way, the only place that it wouldn't be affected is the Starwood Strand
