TOPIC | Breath of the Wild
I got it for the Wii U when it first came out, and then when I got my Switch for Christmas I bought it again with no regrets. It love open world games that you can just pick back up at any time and still enjoy it.

I'm still hunting for all those dang koroks and shrines. I've got 90 shrines and about 190 koroks. I feel like I'm never going to find them all, lol.

One time I led a horse into a swamp.
It was just hanging around being all chill at first, and that was kind of funny. But after like ten seconds, he sank and I was shaking my Switch violently all like “ARTAX! NOOOOOO!”

i have many problems with BotW and think it's far from a 10/10 game (maybe more of a strong 6/mild 7? 8 at the absolute highest).
... i also have a complete 100% save in the game (plus its dlc). so, i mean. make of that what you will.
(wouldn't say i'm still playing it, though. i've done all there is to do and i'm totally burned out on open world games at this point)
P.S. if you're having trouble with koroks/just want to get it the heck over with there's a couple great interactive maps with all the korok locations. let me tell ya, it might be spoiler-y, but having a checklist is a godsend. they can also help when hunting for other things like mini-bosses, shrines, treasure chests, etc.

I loved the game, played it non-stop for... Maybe a few weeks? I spent most of my time exploring and ignoring the main quests. I gotta say, though, getting all the dungeons (is that what they're called? It's been so long, I don't remember) was a huge let down when I got some bad armor (I haven't played many of the games before, so no sentimental value). Glad I didn't try to get al the koroks... Golden poo, man.
After I got all the dungeons, (I'm calling them that now) I just lost interest in it. Had a fun time hanging onto chickens and just gliding off every cliff, though. Also, jump button?! 3D?! Open world?! (even though it's mostly empty) :0?!

I recently bought all the DLC for it! I've been super busy with work and school, but things have started to calm down after this awful week of tests. I'm glad I finally have some time to play video games again. I've been running around trying to find those special chests for a while. :^)

calling them dungeons is extremely generous, honestly. most of them (if they're not entirely empty or a combat shrine) are the size of a single room from one of the dungeons from previous games.
i'd say the only great ones are the ones that require you to solve a puzzle in order to reveal the shrine.
even the actual dungeons in the game aren't much better though, honestly. they all look the same, sound the same, feel/play almost the same with a slightly different boss and they're all really short.
this video is looooong but i completely agree with all the points put forward within it. it's a really good breakdown & analysis of the game's strengths and flaws (spoilers, obviously). although he doesn't touch on a few other issues i had with it.

I wanna play it really bad but our switch broke, and the left controller doesn’t work (I dropped it on some tile floors) so we need to buy a new controller
we got some new ones but now we lost the thing while we were moving. dunno where the box is. Before then, I loved the game. Still do. I wanna play it again

I still play! I had it for a while, but got stuck on the great plateau and didn't pick it back up until a couple months ago... I've been having a lot of fun since though! The horseback challenges are amusing and trying kill enemies in the most obscure ways possible has been my favorite lol
