I love to read tarot - my cousin got me started on reading the cards as well as told me about Flight Rising (even if she doesn't play anymore), and suggested I make a little thread like this. [b]First things first, these readings are completely free.[/b] You are welcome to tip, [i]only if you want to and can afford it[/i], and tipping has absolutely no bearing on the quality or timeliness of your reading. If you're looking for a true answer, this is the deck to choose, but be warned - it will not always be the kindest about giving it to you. [i]Shadowscapes[/i] is a gentler, but still yet honest deck. It isn't afraid to give you bad news, but it will do so in a kinder manner than The Dark Fairytale Deck. [i]Tarot of the Old Path[/i] is like a kind, elderly woman. The deck is out of print, and has been through a lot in its day, and now it prefers not to give bad news. Instead, it will tell you what you already know to be true, but may not want to admit. [center][size=5]The Readings[/size][/center] [i]Past-Present-Future[/i] is a party trick of a reading. It tells me something that has happened, something that is happening, and something that will happen if you continue on the current path. This is a 3 card reading. [i]Question readings[/i] are 3 card readings that offer insight and advice on a question that you have. [b]Please note[/b] that yes or no questions cannot usually be answered by the tarot. Anything else you'd like me to know? Not that I know of. I'm agender (pronouns in signature), I've felt rather blank.

Edit: I also have two decks, I wish I practiced more but my heart hasn't been in it and I don't want to be inauthentic to them.

@skippitydippity Your past is the nine of pentacles - I see you being creative in some way, maybe with a musical instrument of some kind, or writing. You were good, whatever it was, and you've often wondered if you should go back to it and try to find a love for it again. Your present is the Six of Swords - be warned, take a rest, bask in the respite that you're currently being allowed. You feel surrounded at all times, but know that you're safe with the covers pulled over your head. Your future is The Star - this is a very good sign, this is a card of hope and forward movement. Hold onto that ember of hope and let it burn.

@Capricas The Three of Cups tells me that you've recently felt betrayed somehow - you wanted one thing, someone else wanted something else and it culminated in a fight that you've yet to recover from. The Four of Cups plays into that blank feeling that you mentioned - your cup is empty, you must take the time to refill it by doing a little bit of self-care for you. Last is The Lovers, but I get a strange feeling from it - your goal may not be romantic love, but instead a lasting relationship of some other kind.

@Charias The Queen of Pentacles is a demanding one - she is the one that governs your finances, which have been concerning lately. Take a moment to consider how you plan them, and consider a new way of doing so. The Star tells me that you have a lot of hope for the future, and that the hope is being doubted somewhat by the people around you - hold onto it, it will serve you well. Last is the 5 of Swords, a card of power and personality. You'll need a lot of both for the upcoming trials.

Anything else you'd like me to know? i'd like to know where my boyfriend's job is going to take us, if it does take us somewhere... how soon? will i be okay with the changes?

i hope that's an okay thing to ask! i've never done this before, but i've been having to make a lot of choices lately, and i'm feeling a little overwhelmed.

@Autopsy I can't give you an answer to "how soon" as timeframes in tarot are wishy-washy at best, and I won't be able to really give you an answer as to "where" either. Tarot is mostly for insight into a situation, such as how you feel about it, how you can feel better about things, ways to perceive things differently so you can change your viewpoint. I'm not able to give answers like "Indiana, in six months!" Does that make sense?

@piscesrising Thank you for the reading. That's rather accurate. Especially the Lovers, since I don't seek any sort of romantic relationship of any kind, but I am feeling alone and abandoned by friends.
