TOPIC | the most annoying thing teachers do?
1 2 3 4
I absolutely HATE when teachers accuse you of doing something you didn't do.

I was taking an online test one day and it was taking really long because the questions were a little bit hard and I didn't want to rush. My friend beside me was still taking the test as well. You know what my teacher says?
"Maybe you'd be done if you stop talking."
..Excuse me, what? We aren't talking we're taking the test :)
Later, when we still are not done, she says
"One of you move to a different seat. You should be done."
We spoke like what, one sentence during the whole test? Good lord. Don't accuse me of talking when I'm just working at my own pace :) (however, this teacher is a very enjoyable teacher!)

Another time, we were about to be dismissed after lunch. A teacher (literally no one likes her by the way) walks up to us and says "You girls should be raising your hands." (We had to raise our hands and be quiet) She turns to me and says "If you're still eating that's fine but you shouldn't be talking." WHAT. WE WERE NOT TALKING AT A L L. I WAS F A C I N G MY FRIEND AND THAT'S IT (this was NOT, DEFINITELY NOT an enjoyable staff member)

God, some teachers just assume things right off the bat.

There’s this one teacher whom I hate with a fiery passion and he just doodles while we work, just gives this stupid list that we’re suppposed to follow to complete everything
Like could you give some instruction on how to do this at least?
And he genuinely thinks we’re gonna use this in the real world which I can’t see happening.
I hate teachers who think so highly of themselves thinking there this great role model when there honestly annoying and those life lessons really aren’t helping anyone

students: all trying to figure out a problem we were not taught how to solve, and all getting so upset that we quit

ya know when they're erasing the writing on the whiteboard and they leave that one tiny little mark so it distracts you throughout the rest of the class

that.

like

erase it please

God I'm out of school right now since I'm taking a break before college but. I absolutely feel you.

There was this one sub I absolutely h a t e d. Solely because of the first week of my first year of highschool. I have anxiety and was already overwhelmed by taking like, 3 honors classes, one being honors Lit, and the teacher for that class was on pregnancy leave so we had a sub (who, by the way, knew jack**** about the classes she subbed for).

So I, already on the verge of a breakdown during week one of freshman year, was working on a packet with the rest of the class and the sub was like "Ok turn them in so you don't lose them" so I did thinking everything would be fine.

Next day I don't get my packet back that I had already done like two pages of, and ask where it is. She accuses me of not doing it and not turning it in, when I know for a fact that I did, and that is just. The last straw.

I dissociated for the rest of the day I think to avoid a breakdown, and then the next day. She had. My f***ing. Packet. She didn't even acknowledge that she was the one that lost it. No sorry or anything.

That night I begged my mom to help me get out of the honors classes and I've hated that lady ever since, and haven't trusted a sub with my work since either. I always kept my work even if the sub told us to turn it in, and handed it to the teacher when they came back. This all may seem like an overreaction, I know, but I'm full of anxiety like all the time, already didn't have good interactions with most subs, was stressed to high hell at a new school, and had finished a good chunk of the work but ended up way behind everyone else because of that lady who didn't even apologize. The kicker is that I don't even think she remembers and always tried to act all buddy-buddy with me if she subbed a class I was in after that (because I was one of the 'good kids' I guess).

God I rambled sorry but this still sticks with me. My highschool just. Had some really. really. really bad substitutes. I'm not even gonna get into the religious nut that I'm pretty sure told a kid they were going to hell if they continued acting out.

Also just. Teachers with invisible requirements and expectations that never seem to be satisfied. Had this one teacher I initially liked who kept assigning book reports until we met her standards, but never told those that had to keep doing 'em what they did wrong. Pretty sure she's the reason I hate reading physical books now.

I'm out of school now, but I had a REALLY BAD sub once.

We were in Chinese class. This sub had NO experience in the language at all, so she just gave us these papers, and told us to work on them and turn them in when we were done.
So I did.
Then I proceeded to do other classes' homework.
But she said I couldn't. I had to do something else.
So I did.
I decided to work on a little story I was writing at the time.
But alas, she said I couldn't do that either.
So I proceeded to clean up my backpack, because good lord did it need it.
Once again she said I couldn't do that.
So this was MY last straw, and I decided to do N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
But again, she said I couldn't do that. And that was her 'last straw' she said if I couldn't find anything related to THIS CLASS she would send me to the principals office.
So I told her to write me up, and send me.
So she did.
When I got to the principals office, he couldn't believe I was literally written up for doing nothing. And he just let me use his office to do school work for the rest of the period.

The lady had issues...

Teacher: "I want this 40-page essay handwritten."
Me: *stops going to class*

No but really, I once complied with this and got it back with a note that said that my handwriting is sloppy. YEAH NO WAY! MY EYESIGHT IS POOR! I even warned her about it. F that noise.
