It's cold. Very cold. Who else is freezing their butt off?
I live smack in the middle of all this Midwest polar vortex nonsense, right by the shore of Lake Michigan. I'm looking at temps of -11F without windchill today, and about -35F with!
This morning, I woke up at early to leave town to go to class, but i needed to fill my car up first since I was only at about a quarter tank. So i pull up to the pump and fill it, my eyeballs freezing in my head and face going totally numb, and go to start my car up again. Except it didn't start. The engine refused to turn over. It was too cold.
So after calling for help and going inside the gas station to thaw out a little, I went to email my professor to let him know I wasn't going to make it and..... class was cancelled the whole time. It's cancelled until Friday due to the temperatures. I didn't get the memo yesterday, and I'm so thankful my car died near home instead of an hour away! I am a little peeved at myself that I didn't even have to leave my house this morning though.
So that was my morning. How is everyone else doing?

it's about -15 over here! i'm glad school was canceled because i refuse to stand out in the cold waiting for my ride to get there like 10 minutes later
i also usually have to wait for a bus for my first period and i have to stand next to a window AND door that bring in the cold. . .

A couple towns north of me, the windchill is supposed to hit nearly -55. It's cold, y'all.
But next Sunday? Temp's are supposed to hit nearly 40 degrees.
That's a nearly 100 degree difference in less than a week. What the hell, Midwest??
