General Discussion

SO I've been debating on getting my Tiefling Ranger a pet/mount.

I will ask my DM don't worry guys.

So far my best option is a Giant Weasel or a normal one if you don't mind it dying in battle. Either that or a snake of some sort..

Any other suggestions or help?? I know its gotta die at some point but I'm begging hhng

@SmilingVirus My friend plays a dragonborn cleric, and she has a snake that's fairly easy to take care of, he's just kind of draped over her shoulders or neck most of the time and finding food for it is pretty easy since you basically just need to find some mice once in a while. Depending on how picky your DM is, of course, but I'd say if you're looking for an easy pet a snake is pretty good!

Meanwhile my aasimar druid has... a sentient bean plant named Henry

Thank you so much man for advice on the snake!! What do you think of a Giant Weasel by chance? Is that semi plausible? They are about dog sized I think.

@SmilingVirus That does sound pretty cool! I haven't had much experience with them but I'd imagine theyd be pretty useful companions! I think the main things to think about would be diet and combat. Provided the weasel would stay close to you I think that'd be less dangerous for him, but bigger animals that could be seen as threats can be targeted pretty easily. So long as you have a plan in mind for combat though I'd say go for it! :D
