I love to shiny hunt in the ultra wormholes and just generally get shinies. I have a few fun stories.

* Denver the Gardevoir - I was playing ORAS and I decided to hunt for Ralts. I got a male shiny Ralts only 7 or 8 encounters later, and it turns out an oc of mine matches so I decided to name him after him and evolve him.
* Olivia the Audino - I was playing ORAS and I was training on Audino to level grind, and suddenly there was a random shiny!! I named her Olivia, and soon after, the S/M Olivia was announced. Wow.

And one just today
I was heating up a tiny cheeseburger pizza and decided to hunt in the Ultra Wormhole in Ultra Moon. I say out loud "If this is a shiny, and it's not an Audino, I will name it Cheeseburger or Pizza." Needless to say, I now own a Nuzleaf named Cheeseburger.

So, do any of you guys have fun/silly/coincidental stories of shiny Pokemon?

My first ever shiny was a Vanillite that I found in a horde encounter in Pokémon X, back before I even knew what a shiny Pokémon was. My thought process was something along the lines of "Why is that purple, that should not be purple, I am going to contain it before it destroys the universe."
Wound up trading it for a legendary later on. Can't remember which one; either Suicune or Articuno. Possibly Azelf. Something blue.

umm I've gotten 3 shiny bidoofs. also hugh annihilated a shiny rattata in the waterways in black or white 2 , when you had to go through the double battles with him : [

I went looking for an octillery because I wanted a Pokémon with suction cups to go chain fishing.

The octillery I found was shiny

Something that sticks with me is shiny Floatzels

I found one in Diamond, accidentally knocked it out, then like a year later I found another one (female) and caught it

Fast forward to X, aaand I find another female shiny Floatzel
Caught it and gave her the same nickname

okay so,,

I was wandering around, thinkin about some art trade I was gonna do with a friend. I ran into a patch of grass and wasn’t really paying attention to what I was fighting, because I was just doin it for EXP and stuff
until I got that little

sparkle sparkle

and it was a shiny eevee.
we named her Paris, and my friend got one soon after and we named that one Coffee. they’re long gone now, (broken cartridge) but they’ll forever be in my heart

Got a new one. Was waiting for a sim world to load, and decided "next shiny is named Oasis".... I don't like shiny Barbaracle(or Barbaracle in general) but her name is Oasis...

I’ve never had nor seen a legitimate shiny. All were hacked by opponets
