So earlier this year I discovered dice-collecting (thanks, tumblr) and over the past few months I’ve been steadily growing my collection of D&D dice. My first set was an elven set with blue inking, and I’ve also got a purple chessex borealis, the mermaid glass set from Kraken Dice, and the Neapolitan Ice Cream set (Also from Kraken Dice).
Today I actually managed to snag an Iconic Blue II B-Grade set from Kraken Dice on sale, which I’m super proud of. I had to sit and reload the page a bunch of times waiting for them to go up for sale, it was super stressful lol

I'm not really a collector, but I actually pulled mine out last night to talk about them with a friend!
I explained how when I was young, my brother gifted me by first set! It was beautiful! opaque but not solid, blue and purple shimmering inside like an aurora borealis. Unfortunately the set was stolen from me, so I only have the triangle one since that was in my pocket...
I then tried to replace it. I found something similar- teal with a blue shimmer.
When I misplaced those in my room I bought an emergency substitute that's clear and looks either blue or green depending on the light angle. To, y'know, replace the former set as closely as possible. It's like playing telephone but with dice... xD
I managed to find my shimmery teal set, and my friend scoured google images for my original love. Turns out those 8 opaque shimmery dice are worth about $500 now, and are out of print ;^; At least I have the one to remember them by, right?

I have three sets so far, all Chessex; purple fiesta with white numbers, the radioactive colored ones with black numbers, and a purple, black, and silver set (ace pride woo!) that's coming in the mail :)

Someone said dice? I have like 8 different sets. My favorite sets, are a shiny red metal dice set, and the ravnica dice set. Both of them came with tins, so rather than a dice bag I put my favorite sets in the round Ravnica tin, and the rest of them into the metal dice tin for ease of travel.

I have three different sets so far, but I really want more. I'd love to get my hands on some intricate metal dice, but the price would make my wallet cry.
Or some of the bone dice on the artisan dice website, but again, my wallet xD Ah, they're so pretty though.
If only my taste wasn't ridiculously expensive ^^

I sort of collect them. My friend says I have an addiction and I agree, it isn't good that my local game store is getting new dice in all the time. I just like dice that are shiny and see though. Though I recently bought my first set of metal dice and I'm in love with them. Most of the dice I've bought are all in a set but I'm recently getting into buy random single dice though there is something satisfying about having a whole set of similar dice.

My current set is really pretty though, they have a sort of marble pattern in them, and the highest roll is an animal (or a moon in the case of the d4)

oh jeez, me. I don't really have any name brand sets, but I do have 25 sets total at my last count. basically if a set caught my eye I snapped it up, and I got a blind bag with a few grotesque sets too.
so yeah, might be a little bit of an obsession.
