Maybe use spoilers?
Has just kicked off and I wanna know what everyone is thinking.
Cause I'm already seeing some writing on the wall, most of it being that Winterfell is about to be a powderkeg and I'm praying it won't blow up in their faces before the undead army descends on them.
One of the biggest things is the tension growing between Sansa, Jon and Dany. Jon just wants to not die to an undead army and now he finds out he's actually the rightful king of the whole land. Bets on if he even tells anyone. Sansa just wants some respect as the Lady of Winterfell and not to have to deal with Dany. Dany wants her 'legal' throne and is doing alright with obtaining it. Jon and Dany are about to get awkward now that he knows. Jon and Sansa are struggling to close the gap as siblings who've grown apart and being leaders. Sansa and Dany are butting heads as leaders with very different priorities. And it's all being fueled by imminent threat of an undead army during the winter.

I was so hyped for this season, and I still am! The first episode was a sweet, welcoming reintroduction and reunion of the characters.
I'm a little on the fence with Dany, tbh. She's an amazing character and has done good, and I love her for it. But sometimes her attitude is a little much. Especially how she expects instant respect from Sansa and the rest of the people in the North. Respect is earned. And she hasn't physically proven that she's worthy of their trust and loyalty (just stories they hear from other people). And she's technically not queen yet so hold your horses dragons.

^ Completely agree with what @
Amorah said about Dany.
I really was put off her in season 7 with how she demanded Jon to constantly bend the knee. And now... ugh.
I would very much have the reaction of Sansa. Only with a bit more sass "Queen of what exactly?" Jon has the North at least. Dany has.... that tiny rock. \o/
ALSO, SAM. OMG SAM. SOMEONE PROTECT HIM!!! WRAP HIM UP IN BLANKETS AND KEEP HIM SAFE! ;___;
I don't know how to black out the words

You add [-spoiler-]in front of text without the '-'.
I said she was doing alright, by which I mean she is making progress but she's not a resounding success, basically just look at the Tarly's for why.
And yes someone hug Sam!
Also Bran, you absolute snot, the whole night? Just for that moment? Worth it but still.

I agree about what people are saying about Dany, she can be a lil annoying sometimes.
Also I'm worried about Theon, I feel like he's gonna die fighting for the Starks to prove himself and he's always been my fav. Also where was Ghost?? My son??

I thought the new opening credit animation for this season was waaaaay cool
On the actual show, glad they finally dropped the "Jon you are a Targaryen" bomb. I was worried they were going to drag that out forever, though they still might with telling everyone else. Otherwise...idk! Will probably have more thoughts the next episode. Seems likely something will blow up in Winterfell soon. Curious to see what Jon does with the info about Sam's dad and bro, and I want to see more of the Greyjoys in general. :V

I think this is the first episode where I actually liked bird boy... simply because of how uncomfortable he was making everyone and it just kept cracking me up into laughter! oh poor jaime did not need that
what are people's thoughts about Bronn? I get the feeling this was just to give him an excuse to go north and join the rest of them otherwise he would have sat out the rest of the season
I think this episode has definitely given me that "i'm never going to like Dany now" feel.
YOU DO NOT SAY THAT **** TO SAM AND SHOW NO REMORSE FOR IT. HE DESERVED MUCH BETTER. AND ALL HE ASKED FOR WAS TO BE FORGIVEN FOR STEALING BOOKS
STEALING BOOKS
HES SO PURE

DOOOOD, YES:
Yeah, when that went down I thought Jorah might be like stepping on her toe like, "*cough COUGH COUGH* yeah, um, MY QUEEN WE'VE GOTTA GO LIKE.... DO ROYAL STUFF RN AND CAN'T TALK TO SAM RN!!!!!!!"
I wondered why tf she was so cold and weird about it. It honestly doesn't jive with her character in my opinion.
Oh my god, don't even start it with Sam. Our poor precious boy. He went from smiling and enjoying being in the presence of the "Queen" to heart shattered. She's almost heartless, there were better ways to tell him.
All in all, I love the Stark family. It was nice seeing Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Jon all back together in. They've all gone through so many hardships and have come back stronger than before.
You guys realize that there's only 6 episodes of the final season?! What the heck are we supposed to do with that!?
