I use to think that even if a phone had no battery, service, and was crushed you could still use it to call 911. I just remember having this small little play phone and being scared i would accidentally call 911, this phone didn't even have a battery.

no one ever told me this but i used to think other cars on the road were driven by ghosts/by themselves bc i was too small to see the drivers inside them. now that i drive tho i can see everyone and as a result get really intense road rage when i see someone on their phone behind the wheel. i wish i was as innocent as i used to be.

I used to think stuffed animals would steal your nightmares. And the more they stole, the more...Used? they would look. So I had a lot of nightmares as a child. (Still do.) So all my stuffed animals look great XD Still.

That took me a long time to get over, since the biggest mistake my folks made was letting me watch The Exorcism of Emily Rose. [emoji=spiral laughing] Still sometimes it crosses my mind.
Thinking all inanimate objects were sentient and they'd cry if left behind, since my mother would tell me things like that so I wouldn't lose my jackets, brave little toaster style.
Jokes on her though! While I don't feel that way now, I do have trouble parting with anything! Not hoarder status, but I do collect too much fanmerch and t-shirts.

You know how on Fountain Soda lids you can press in the indents to show what veriety you got, I used to think if you pushed in the wrong one it would corrupt the flavor.
Also the first time I saw a Flie's mouth in a close up picture, the way it has all those tiny holes, I some how became convinced they were going to eat my arm hairs.

When I was little, and up until like 3rd grade, I thought that the word "naked" was spelled and pronounced "maked". I remember reading a book with the word naked in it, and thought to myself "haha, they spelled it wrong."
Thi also resulted in me saying "maked molerat" a lot since I thought it was the funniest thing.

I used to be scared of sleeping alone when I was a kid, so I would turn on a radio my parents give me and would always leave the TV on because I thought if any 'monsters' crawled up to me when i was sleeping, the people in the TV and radio would stop them
I would also believe inanimate objects had feelings and would feel sad if unused or left behind
I obviously know better now, but that doesnt stop me from shooting a quick "oh sorry" when I bump into a table or kick a pillow off the bed
