If you could bring a book to life on the big screen, what would it be and how would you do it? For me:

• The Summer King Chronicles with a style, tone, and score somewhere between How to Train Your Dragon and Legend of the Guardians (which was a beautiful film even if it wasn’t very true to its source material). The only problem is, there are four books and there’s no way they could all be streamlined into one.
• Raptor Red as an animated film like Spirit, where the animal characters don’t talk for once but communicate with body language. And give the raptors feathers! But, knowing Hollywood, they would probably make it into a generic kiddie talking animal movie like Alpha and Omega.

I would actually kill to have Dragon and Thief by Timothy Zahn made into a movie.

One of my favorite books of all time. It's a space adventure similar to Star Wars, but the main character has a poet warrior dragon alien attached to him. Literally.

i mean, the raven cycle is being made into a tv show but i'd do it with very dramatic mood lighting, lots of panoramic shots, and of course (to add a cheesy factor) a scene where blue and gansey are being sad about not being able to really be together while it's raining. also adam wearing a coca cola t-shirt (preferably crop top, but i'll take what i can get) in literally every. single. scene. and the pynch shopping cart scene in all its glory. i have to stop or else i could keep this post going for literally years.

I'd kill for a Wings of Fire TV or film series in a How to Train Your Dragon-like style.

Flawed Dogs

I feel like it could be a really good short movie, something to tug at your heart strings and bring awareness to all the abuse the main character went through. I see articles occasionally that they are in the process of planning it, but it's been years so it's still a dream.

I really love the book, finding it in my fifth grade teachers class library.

I’ve been dying for an anime movie adaptation of The Thief Lord. I mean, it could be something along the lines of what Studio Ghibli would make, but with all the indescribably exquisite aesthetic of Venice!

Oh, and Caraval! I don’t know what to say, I love the whole fantasy-Italy aesthetic, and Legend is lowkey hot...

as are all the other characters i’ve converted to steampunk top-hat gentlemen with enough leather and buckles to make the creators of Kingdom Hearts cringe
