I'm really interested since I see a lot of things going around like "Is this yellow or orange" and my mind immediately goes for words like "gold" or "citrus"
Do you use special words for different colors? Or do you call them things like yellow-ish orange? I'm really curious about what people on FR do.

I tried to make an aesthetic signature but it broke :(

I call them weird things! Like aqua can sometimes be 'blue with a little bit of light green'. I'm really specific when it comes tocolors, so just saying 'aqua' doesn't seem like enough to cover it.

For the greenish-blue stuff that gets mentioned here a lot, I really dislike the English word for it that starts with a t and that I will not look up again how to spell because it contains way too many consecutive vowels. You know the one.
The German word for it is türkis, which is nice and simple. This is how few vowels are necessary for that word, and not that mess that the English one is.
I usually call the blue-green stuff cyan, even the ones that are a bit to greenish to actually be cyan. But people know what I'm getting at, so that's fine.
For gold tones, I will call those yellow precisely because it doesn't sound fancy. If the gold tone heads too much into a brownish shade to be called yellow, it's dirt-yellow.
Same with silver. It's grey. And bronze or copper colours are rust.

Thank you. But my point still stands. Vowels aren't herd animals.

[size=2][b]As a digital artist for the past 9 years, yes, I'm very particular about my colors. [emoji=guardian tongue size=1] I've spent way too much time obsessing and fussing over getting certain colors to look a certain way. But I'm only able to name off the color names that I know.

My definition of peach is different from a paint company's definition of peach, so between me and the printed labels, my poor husband is going to have a headache when we go shopping for a new house.

Call me Requacy (Pinging Allowed!)(Note to self: Make art for signature)
I do art, but I'm really... not-specific with colours
I'll use "teal" "cyan" "turquoise" "khaki" "magenta" etc but nothing beyond that. And half of those are used in science anyway n I use them cause I'm a big nerd
