This may be weird, but do any of you have a "bond" with your guitar? I'm sure fellow guitarists know what I am talking about :)

Not exactly. But I do talk to mine sometimes. "Sorry, babe, I have to go out now, so I can't play for a bit." That sort of thing.

not the most expensive, not the best brand, but By God That Is My Baby and i'm emotionally attached to it now. there is no guarantee that i won't be a little sad when i upgrade guitars

So, a little backstory. I have a Martin 000M that used to belong to my dad. I bought it off him for $500 (totally worth it, and half price to boot!) But before I bought it he suggested that I shop around and try to find a different guitar.
It suddenly hit me that that guitar was the only one I could ever enjoy playing and if I couldn't have it, I'd lose my will to play.

Wow, to a very, very, very specific guitar?! That's cool! The fact that one guitar determined your fate to keep playing or not is rather fascinating.

I do! It's one of my favorite series. ????
It is kinda weird, right? It's such an amazing instrument. I've never heard ANY other guitar that sounded as good.

This thread is also anything about guitar(forgot to say that in the original post)!
On that topic...
I am got into guitar recently. I have an Ibanez electric guitar. I feel as though I have not been progressing much, any advice would be appreciated. I can talk about music all day! :D

Practice chord changes. Get your fingers used to all the chord shapes and switching back and forth between them. Make them muscle memory. Seriously, it makes a huge difference to start off that way.
Also, when practicing this, keep up your strumming pattern. Don't stop if you mess up.
