it makes me uncomfortable, not like the new design is bad it just feels wrong for deviantart. it really does feel like theyre trying to imitate artstation

Not sure how I feel about that lol. To be fair, I haven't been using it for years, but it's a fond memory now. For the record, I tried art station a while back and preferred deviantart.

I'm gonna be devil's advocate here. I like it so much better. The old site screamed "image hosting site for newbie artists and questionable works". It looks a lot more like an actual professional portfolio now.

Yeah, it's been in beta since about november and is still a work in progress, but I'm not a fan of how it is currently.
I like the dark theme and I'm thankful they finally added tag blacklisting, but the rest is uh... It feels like one step forwards and two steps back.
EDIT: I haven't been able to get my gallery to load in eclipse mode until today, and now that I've seen it, I absolutely hate it. The layout is a total eyesore and that
'sticky menu' thing that has the gallery page stats on it doesn't scroll up with the rest of the page and just hovers there, taking up too much space and makes things feel claustrophobic.
