GONE is a dystopian survival series written by Michael Grant. Anyone here like it?
Want to talk about it?
NOTE: I’m only halfway through the fourth book, Plague. NO SPOILERS.

I read the main series a few years ago and I loved it! Fear was definitely my favourite of the books.

Maithe Oh, nice! Currently, my favorite is still the first book. Who’s your favorite character?

Oh hi! I've read them! It's a very interesting plot but I found the characters... un-relatable. I think it's because of how much older I am and how different I see things than prepubescent kids. I was constantly wondering what is wrong with those kids and all the stupid decisions they made, lol.
I haven't read the sequel, the Monster series. I find it interesting that the cover shows a person running but the protagonist isn't the runner from the first series, Brianna. Sequels tend to be disappointing, but since the characters are older, maybe I should give it a go when my desire for dystopia rises again, lol.

Happiness can be found,
even in the darkest of times,
if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Charoula I personally find them really easy to relate to, especially Sam and Astrid! I don’t really like him a lot as a *character*, but I think he makes a great
Astrid’s characterization is absolutely masterful. Also, Edilio is a sweet boy and needs to be protected.
Yes, the plot is really good! I love the way it’s been developing.
But, one of my very favorite things about the series are the main 3 (human) villains (I don’t know how to spoiler tag something so I won’t mention their names.) I just love how even the worst people there show so much humanity (some more than others).
