I’m not quite sure what she’s doing to make them more inclusive but if you didn’t write them that way to begin with then your stuck with it
Don’t make a character gay without any indication of it and call it representation
This is one of the reasons why the Percy Jackson books are better-

Someone's gotta take twitter away from her for a bit. If she makes me think of my favorite characters differently I'll be very sad.

Frankly speaking it's a load of nonsense. Just leave as is and let people imagine what they want. There's no need for explicit mentions of sexual history or preference.
There's no need to tack on misc info decades after the original books were published. The ending to the books was bad enough, stop trying to make it even worse for those who don't want a sexual element added to characters.

Well first off I disagree with people that state a content creator can't change things after publishing. That being said, that doesn't mean as a reader you have to follow the new cannon. You don't have to buy revised editions or follow her twitter posts.
Personally, I think the real beauty and joy in written material is it is one part what the author wrote, and one part how the person reading interprets it. For that reason I personally tend to avoid following authors or reading stuff they have to say about their books. I rather enjoy the material in its raw form without having my perceptions skewed by what the author intended something to mean.
