My neighbor from my old neighborhood want's me to go see IT #2 and for the life of me it gave me night terrors and the first movie everything looked realistic and scared me. She's not forcing me to go but I stupidly said "ok" and now I regret it cause I watched the trailers and it scared me even more tbh it looked darker then the first one I don't want to be rude and say something that she will get her feelings hurt horror movies really don't mix with me and don't be rude and say "Then why did you see it in the first place?" junk I just need help should I be brave and go or no?

Just be honest and say you're not good with horror stuff. That way her feelings shouldn't be hurt. I'm not good with horror either so I don't watch it anymore - it's not worth it. :)

What the other two are saying, just go up to her and say horror movies don't make you comfortable, i'm sure she will understand
and if she doesn't then that is her own problem, not trying to be rude but others have comfort levels that you need to keep in mind no matter what

Oh no, you:
-Are sick
-Have to cat/dog/fish/babysit
-Have an interview
-Have to be on a conference call for work
-Have to pick someone up from the bus station/airport/sub station
and if lying doesn't sit well with you, just tell them that you didn't expect the first one to bother you as much as it did, and say that you can't go because it scared you. you're both adults, i doubt that they'll judge you for being scared of an intentionally scary movie.

Tell her how you feel about horror movies and hope she understands.

This is a good idea. You can tell her that you didn't think it would be so bad at first, but after seeing the trailers you reckon you really won't have a good time. If she brushes off your being scared, you might want to emphasize that really, you won't enjoy it. And why spend money and time on something you're absolutely sure you won't enjoy?
