TOPIC | I have a question (food-related)
My brother says that curly fries taste better than regular fries from the same place. I think they taste the same but curly fries are more expensive, so I’d rather get regular. Anyone else have opinions on this? Or any other things that taste the same to you but different to other people? I want enough data to make a powerpoint to prove my brother wrong (not really, but if I get enough I’ll at least make a graph)

The places that I've gotten them from, they tend to be a bit more seasoned than your regular fries.

I prefer regular fries, since every time I get curly fries (maybe it's because my experience with curly fries is limited) they're just kind of greasy-tasting and the curl effect is oversold and underwhelming in practice.

I prefer curly fries. I don't know what it is, but they just tend to taste nicer.

Both of them pale in comparison though to the smiley fry. I don't know how they make those things so delicious.

Where I work, curly fries are called "Spicy Fries" despite not being spicy at all, they're just seasoned differently and usually have a different taste altogether.

I have this place near my old school that makes really good fries and they all taste the same, but I went to a place this afternoon where they looked pretty different (therefore proving myself mostly wrong).

I never tried curly fries but I think I'll still go for regular fries anyway. They taste so good, especially when they're fried in pork fat!

oh man, i haven't eaten a smiley fry in soo long...[s]anyways[/s] where i'm from the one place that sells curly fries (that I know of) seasons them differently and they're like orange-ish, whereas regular fries are straight and usually soggier. I greatly prefer curly fries, but regular fries with sea salt are good too. smiley fry for those who are confused:

The place I was using as reference for this post makes absolutely heavenly regular fries but it seems like they’re different elsewhere- maybe my place just found a good formula for the regular and stuck with it
