Has anyone on here watched the Invader Zim movie Enter the Florpus?!? Invader Zim was my favorite thing EVER for a long long time so I couldn't have been happier to get a comic for the long-dead show, and now a MOVIE!
Enter the Flopus is on Nootflix so feel free to watch it on there! I think it gives a pretty good intro even if you haven't seen the show before.
So if you've watched the movie feel free to spark up a convo about it on this thread I guess! Which means that if you don't want spoilers, don't tread too far on it either!

Wait, it's already available to watch?! I've heard of it before but I thought it wouldn't be out till 2020!

Yes! I loved the show, still do, and was so excited when I heard the movie was coming to Netflix.
I just watched it about an hour ago and it was great! It felt like another episode but longer, which isn't a bad thing at all. It was amazing hearing the voice actors as these characters again. I'm so glad it was done with so many from the original crew returning, it just wouldn't have worked otherwise. Honestly, above all, if Jhonen weren't involved and Richard Steven Horvitz hadn't returned to voice Zim, I would've had far less faith in it being a good thing.
It was funny, I laughed throughout at the many one-liners and callbacks to the show. Minimoose finally got the attention he deserved. The animation was fanatic. Overall, it's the same, though closer to the look of the comics, which also isn't a bad thing. When I saw the trailer, I thought it would bug me, but it didn't at all. The colors were much more varied and more vibrant and I liked the small changes in character designs. The anime intro caught me off guard, but I liked it and the sequences near the end were amazing. I need to rewatch it later just to get a good look at everything.
But the highlight of the movie for me was Professor Membrane, especially in the second half. This gave me a new appreciation for his character.
Where will things go from here? I don't know and right now don't want to speculate on it. The comics (though I need to catch up on those) are still being produced and I'm happy with where things are right now.

Good movie. Great movie. 8.5/10, needed to be longer.
*holds up a sign saying "REBOOT INVADER ZIM" and begins to march in circles outside of Nickelodeon HQ*
WHERE IS THE REBOOT. WE NEED THE DANG REBOOT.

Aaaa I just finished watching it with my siblings!! It doesnt quite catch the same vibe the original show had but it was still extremely good!!
It was really nice to see the character development of each character too, along with all the little jokes and references towards things that happened in the tv show!! And the animation was so smooth, especially during the last act of the movie!!
:DD Overall it was a fantastic movie and I'm glad I got to watch it!!

Yes!!! Just finished watching it now and I am very pleased. No complaints here- it stays true to the original series, and I love how colorful it is! A real nostalgia trip for me.
For anyone who doesn’t have Netflix, here’s a link to the full movie on YouTube. Not sure how long it’ll be before the movie is taken down, so I’d say watch it sooner than later!

Saw it last night and it was fine. Not something I'd watch again anytime soon, but it was great hearing all the voice actors back in those roles again.
I was kinda disappointed with the art style, though. The original show always felt grimy and threatening while the movie felt too clean, the animation too fluid at times, and fewer angles and points than in the original.
The movie definitely keep the intensity of the old show in terms of its characters and pacing. However, I personally felt it a little unfocused and too fast in some spots, and a few too many characters, but it was still fun and enjoyable to watch.
The humor was okay, but re-watching some of the original show, I noticed I wasn't getting as much from the humor as I had when I was younger. I definitely still love the characters though, which kept me watching multiple episodes and the movie.
Regardless of my gripes, it was clear the effort and love that went into the movie and the desire to keep things in the spirit of the show. With how old the original show is, it makes me wonder whether some of those who worked on the movie had watched the show when they were kids.

Juliet42 Well, fortunately, I have already zoomed to watch it. And it was pretty enjoyable! I wasn't a big fan of the occasional crude humor but otherwise it was a lot of fun seeing all those characters again.
And the ending sequence with all the different animation styles, while having been done multiple times before, was still really cool.

It was certainly different from the original show, but I suppose that's how it must be with it being essentially a reboot. And they changed the style slightly which I actually like better, to make it more modern and also relating to the style of the comics that have been out for a while now. It's alright if it wasn't your fav of course but I'm just so giddy that it's here and that there's a whole MOVIE to enjoy, since I got into the show when it was long dead already.

I just realized how perfect your name is in regards to IZ! Membrane! And yeah it was pretty cool, people do it lots because it's cool, hehe!
