remember the whole photobucket thing from like two years ago jesus
at least theyve fixed it by putting an obvious watermark on the image instead of blocking it completely
anywa i never really trusted tinypic for some reason. ive heard somewhere it was made by the same people who made photobucket... or owned by the same people anyway

Wow. That's incredibly annoying and greedy of them to do :/
Have you tried Imgur as a substitute?

Tinypic is owned by Photobucket, this was bound to happen eventually. I never liked using Tinypic anyway because of the sheer amount of ads. After the whole Photobucket debacle I migrated totally over to Imgur.

I've migrated to discord and tumblr. When I was younger, though, tinypic was literally All I Had because my laptop had no 'right click to get the image code" function

The ads have always put me off of using tinypic. It always felt like a malware ridden site, anyway. I do understand where you're coming from, though, OP. I do suggest looking into Gyazo, btw. It is not free, but it's very easy to use and its only 4-5 dollars a month.

As a university student who only gets money in the summer, monthly commitments like that are a bad idea for me. I just use discord and tumblr for now

Oh man that really sucks. I used TinyPic a ton back in the day and wish I’d known about this sooner. I don’t use it anywhere I’m still active but wouldn’t have minded preserving some things others made for me a long while ago that I no longer had saved on my computer :I
I’ve moved over to Imgur in recent years because it’s easier to use, more organized, and is in no danger of disappearing anytime soon. You can upload images, get the URL, and have options to post it in several different formats or on social media. You are also able to set private and public work so that it only links back to the rest of your gallery if you choose for it to do so.

Never be afraid to ping me!
Oh man, this is me years ago. I stored ALL my stuff in Imageshack bc my laptop had just died (storage devices weren't available in my tiny town back then). I used it for years for my siggies, artsy pics and whatever. Then they decided to be a paid service and gave users an amount of days to pay or all their would be lost. The thing is, ded laptop, no online activities. When I finally got a new one and saw that all my stuff was blocked by a paywall................................. :) :) :) :)
I just had to go through all of my fan dragon bios and upload images to imgur instead to update them e__e That's way less of a hassle than alot of people are dealing with though and I feel so bad for other people who depended on tinypic alot more than I did.
My issue with imgur is that it forced me into beta today (the option for me to exit beta is gone now) and in this beta mode, it says half of my images aren't available, the site is disorienting and so much less straight forward than before. Imgur is a pain. I miss tinypic already :/
