Just something that crossed my mind when I was talking to my mom about odd talents/skills/abilities we have that we can't show people for one reason or another.
Mine's being able to tune out my own thoughts. Anxiety thoughts before bed? Tune out - my thoughts will ramble about anything and everything but I don't 'hear' squat nothing of it. If it has something interesting to say I'll tune back in.
it's useful and interesting, but I can't demonstrate it to others ;u;
any of you got similar things you simply can't show?

Once I memorize a song, I can play it in my head perfectly, although it's more enjoyable to listen to it "physically".
If I think hard enough, I can have a lucid dream of a certain subject.
Detailed day dreaming is also an ability I have, as long as I have an idea.
Not a thing I can't visually show, but I have a chicken neck. I can move my neck in strange ways and movements, people think it's atrocious but I find it rad and fun.

I'm good at reading peoples' expressions! It's kind of funny trying to stump my friends based on what they show on their face ;)

I can stick my tongue under my chin and almost to my cheekbone. my favorite thing is seeing people’s reactions to it

Someone above mentioned but being able to ‘play’ a song song in their head after they know it
Also idk if this is a skill but I’m comfortable changing in front of anyone because of theater

Same here!! Sometimes if I get bored in class I'll play random movie clips, videos I find funny or make lil scenes in my mind, but that usually isn't the best idea because then I'll start to loose focus on what's actually going on.

I’m getting better at switching off anxious thoughts. I guess it counts as bottling up my emotions but it’s literally the only thing (that I’ve tried) that works to reduce my anxiety almost 100%.
Also juxtaposing my daydreams/imagination on top of real life. I remember hearing somewhere that some people actually can’t do that, which I (no pun intended) can’t imagine.
i can do the playing a song in your head thing too!! but with some songs i can never quite "play" it perfectly like i know the song but it doesn't sound the same if that makes sense
