With Halloween just around the corner, I'd like to take the time to remind everyone that anyone can go trick-or-treating. It is not a day just for little kids, it is for everyone! If you want to go trick or treating this year but fear that you'd be considered too old for it, remember this, and bring out that nice costume you had planned!

Ngl I don't want a grown adult knocking on my door asking for candy.
Halloween is for kids-teens, imo. It's something you outgrow like birthday parties. If you wanna show off that blitzin' costume you made then I suggest going/hosting a party ;)

I have two year old nephews, so I have a good excuse to go trick or treating lol.

The last time I wasn't a shut-in for Halloween, I scared the kids walking by. I can't really eat much candy so there's no point in trick-or-treating, regardless of my age, but I take great pleasure in scaring people c:

In certain states in america there are laws that you can't go trick or treating if you're older then a certain age. In Virginia Beach the age limit is 12, with possible jail time for breaking the age limit law.

I don't even answer the door to kids begging for sweets at my door, I'd be annoyed if adults did it.
Buy your own treats.
Errr, for the record, we don't have trick or treating here. It's not part of the culture. Unless some families go out of their way to do the weird American tradition of begging strangers for candy, it's pretty rare to get even kids knocking your door and virtually nobody buys sweets for that potential eventuality, anyway.
The people I know who DO do it have a list of participating houses (usually those of friends) who they go to knowing they've agreed to join in. If a random adult, or group of adults, knocked my door expecting free food? I'd be furious, honestly.

But with everyone in costume... how would they know? I mean, I got carded for an energy drink (you have to be 16 to buy them) earlier because I'm a shrimp and I'm in my early thirties.
If I was in a face-covering mask and costume? I could pass for 12. I'm shorter than some 12 year olds. I'm literally 4ft9. How is this enforceable?
