I've been here about a week and I've been trying to get a sense of how the game's economy works by reading guides, paying attention to the AH, etc. I have a couple of questions still, though.
Judging by the prices of some things, it seems like some players must have thousands of gems. And there are players willing to SELL gems! MADNESS! Gems are so rare.
For players who have thousands of gems - how did you earn them? Do they just start dropping a lot more frequently as you level? Did you sell custom skins/accents? Did you earn them through the AH?
Also, I notice that in the AH, a lot of players will sell food or materials for 1 gem. It seems like many of these never sell (makes sense, since most of these are much easier to acquire than gems). But, if you BUNDLE food for example, is there a stack size that people think is worth 1 gem, or do people never really buy food?
