I read the "Ultimate Flight Guide v2"
http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1649564/1 and I am still having trouble deciding which flight is right for me. I enjoyed the feature of "Nerd's Ultimate Flight Guide"
http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/1209394 that pointed out which flights are best for what type of experience you want - whether it be fun vs competitive or active vs slow, but I am aware that Nerd's guide is now outdated, so I am wondering which flight would fit my specific needs best.
I just discovered that I love the lore aspect of FR, and I enjoy roleplay in other settings so I am sure I would enjoy it on here. I am more interested in a fun flight than a competitive flight, and more interested in an active one than a slow one. I joined FR because of its breeding system, if that helps indicate how much interest I have in that. And I'd love for my flight to have an active MOGAI community.
I know that's a lot, and not as specific as it could be, but I am genuinely interested in multiple aspects of FR and not just one or two things.
If you could comment on your experiences within your flight, I would be very grateful. Especially if you have switched flights and can compare two or more flights.
Note: I haven't actually looked much into my current flight's forums (I know that's terrible considering that I'm posting this), so if you are from Arcane, you can still comment your experiences.

I'm in Shadow and we're the largest Flight by population.
We don't do Dom super often, but I think we'll start pushing more often. (?)
Light and Plague are the most Dom-oriented flights, I believe.
If you're going for primal, a lot of people don't like plague. Heck, I don't like plague.
Shadow is another people don't like, but I love it. Reminds me of Droolmom.
Our forums are fairly active, but I can't say anything about other Flights as I've been a Shadowling my entire FR life.

Neither of those Flight Guides are much good for anything else than seeing the Flight art - they haven't been updated for ages and Flights have changed a lot since
Arcane and Wind are said to be the most lore/creativity-heavy Flights though all of them have at least some level of lore-based activity. Arcane forums have decent amount of lore chatting, and at least Arcane Slack has something pretty much daily. I can't really say anything about roleplays since I haven't really done that on FR but it seems most of it happens via Roleplaying Forum instead of Flight ones?
Arcane forums are decently active and both off-site chats are very active. Can't really compare to others but I don't think there's that much difference between Flights in the end. Personally I have no want to move Flights and it's mainly because I love the community we have in Arcane
If you have any interest in Dominance, I can recommend Arcane for fun: we aim to have something for every push (which we have monthly) so while we are competitive the goal is that everyone has fun

Well, coming from a Plagueling, you really aren't a good fit; I just want to warn you against it, if those specifics still stand. The Plague flight is definitely Dom-focused, though not nearly as much as we used to be (apparently Plague used to dominate almost every week!) though we never force anyone to work for dom. Plague is a friendly flight, far from the cruel, disease-like persona we're often given. cx
That being said, though, we have quite a few programs that are supposed to be more fun for our dominance efforts; things like a scavenger hunt in the Coliseum and stuff, just to make people more excited to train fodder, or train your own 25s. Plague tends to be pretty active, especially around our dom pushes, but sometimes we get slightly lazy xD
Though I was from Ice originally, I can't really give you any information on them; when I was in Ice I was still very new and too shy to even look at the ice-only forums, sorry ^^

Hey bud! I'm in Fire but I moved from Arcane. Arcane was pretty popular, had fast paced convos, and general silliness I suppose. I wasn't too big of a fan of the atmosphere, some of the users there, how little they did dom so I moved to Fire and haven't regretted it.
I'm not sure if Fire would be a good fit for you, we have slow moving forums but our discord is pretty active. We participate in dom frequently and we always have fun with that. The lore aspect might appeal to you though, a couple of our members have RP events with prizes and Lore questions. Our dom games are always really fun! We have cute subspecies (good for breeding) and a lot of burnt cookies haha. Everyone is super chill, laid back, and we are always down for a good conversation.
But I feel like you would like Wind as well. I haven't been in it but I've heard good things about the atmosphere and how chill it was there.

WellEnough I have been in Nature and am now in Earth. I don't think either of these would be a great fit for you. Cross them off your list? They both have slow moving forums. Earth is very dom oriented and usually places in the top three each week, but the members are very laid back and you may get bored with the pace.
