TOPIC | how does making a skin or accent work
So I'm thinking of making a skin or accent, I've read through the tutorial, but I'd like someone to explain in good detail, the steps and processes. Explain it like I'm 5 [emoji=gaoler laughing size=1] I also have a few questions: How do you see the percentage of coverage the skin or accent uses? And how exactly does submitting work? When you activate the blueprint, do you also have to select a file from your computer? And now some questions about submitting for a festival: Do you just send a png or jpg of the skin/accent in the submission forum, or do you also submit it like you would when theres not a festival? How do you know when you've won? A pm from staff telling you to submit? Sorry theres so many questions! I've never done this before, and I don't want to mess anything up, and I want to know how it works before I put work into a skin/accent!

1. Some programs have ways of letting you check the coverage, there’s tutorials for certain programs in the guides section that explain it a lot better then I could
2. The submitting page isn’t too hard to navigate, there’s a spot to upload a new design/choose a previous one, and in top of that you need to select the breed, gender, blueprint and choose a name
3. If it’s a new design (one you’ve never printed) then you do, but if you’ve previously printed that skin/accent then I don’t think you have to any more

4. You just have to send a proper png to the submission thread for that month
5. If you get an honorable mention, you’ll get pinged to the festival announcement and (eventually) get sent blueprints so you can submit it as a normal skin/accent. If your accent gets selected for the festival, you’ll also get pinged and the accent will be available during the festival, and you’ll be unable to submit the same accent

@Shadow50146 I'm by no means an expert so here's what I know. To make a skin you download the PSD files FR has here. You open it in your image editor of choice and draw the skin the way you want. The Tutorial goes through the essential steps but for more specific things you'd have to look up tutorials for the software you're using. That's really all there is to it. Since blueprints are pretty expensive, people usually take pre-orders. You don't need to buy a blueprint or submit that way, just show off your work in the thread. The first post always has instructions on how to submit, rules, etc. I don't know what happens when people win, I assume the staff lets you know and gives you your prize. EDIT: Someone beat me to it. I forgot to add that yes, you have to select the file you want to upload when you're using a blueprint.
